About

Some things are worth saying to yourself later. Future Me is a quiet place to write a message to the person you'll become — and then wait. Write what you're hoping for. What you're afraid of. What today actually felt like. Add a photo if you want one. Choose the day it should open: a week from now, a hundred days, next New Year, or a date of your own. Then seal it and let it go. When that day arrives, your phone tells you. A message from your past self is waiting. SEALED MEANS SEALED Tap a capsule before its day and you see the countdown, not the letter. You can still open it early if you truly want to — the app just makes that a decision rather than an accident, because most of a capsule's value is in not knowing yet. WHY IT WORKS The distance is the point. A letter you wrote a year ago is not a note — it's evidence. You get to see what you were worried about, and whether it mattered. You get to hear yourself hope for something before you knew how it turned out. WHAT'S INSIDE - Write a message, add one photo, choose an open date - Presets from one week to one year, or pick any day - A reminder the day before, and on the day itself - Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets counting down to your next capsule - A live countdown on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island - One switch that keeps capsule names off every screen but your own - A reveal built for the moment it's actually read - Export any opened capsule as a printable keepsake PDF BUILT TO BE LEFT ALONE No account. No sign-up. No sync, no server, no analytics, no ads, no tracking of any kind. Future Me never asks for your contacts, your location, or your identity, because it doesn't need them. Everything you write stays in this app, on this device. That also means the app keeps working exactly the same whether or not you have a connection — and whether or not anyone is still maintaining a server somewhere. PRICING Five capsules, free. Unlimited capsules is a single one-time purchase. No subscription, ever.

What's New in Future Me

1.1

September 4, 2026

Sealed capsules now stay sealed. Tapping one before its day shows the countdown instead of the letter — you can still open it early, but it takes a deliberate tap and the app tells you what you're giving up. Capsules also open sooner by default: one set today opens in a month rather than a year, with presets from one week up to next New Year. - New: widgets for the Lock Screen, alongside the Home Screen ones - New: one privacy switch that keeps capsule names out of widgets, live countdowns and notifications — everything a passer-by can see - New: Settings, with Restore Purchases, support and privacy in one place - New: your draft is kept if you leave mid-sentence - The app now says plainly when notifications are off, instead of promising a reminder it can't deliver - Capsules are stored in a file written atomically, and nothing is ever overwritten before the new copy exists - Haptics for sealing and opening - Fixed: the purchase screen could stay stuck if the App Store didn't answer on first launch — it now retries and offers a retry button - Fixed: with many capsules, some reminders were silently never scheduled - Fixed: cancelling while sealing could still create the capsule - Fixed: editing a capsule could delete the photo attached to it
