Miss the old version
I’ve been sending letters on this app for several years now. I recently uploaded the new update and absolutely hate it. After I send a letter, I’m stuck on the screen that forces me to pay and you can’t exit out of it or go back to the original screen. I have to exit out the app and reopen it each time. I used to be able to upload a photo or video for free and now there’s this emphasis on paying. I hate the design of the new app. It just lost that sentimental feeling of sending yourself a future letter. I’m gonna start looking for a different app to send myself future letters on

Greedy company/
I have been using FutureMe since mid 2018 and I have loved it. One of my favorite parts of it is how you could write unlimited FREE letters to yourself and you’d only have to pay if you wanted to attach a video or picture. Today I tried to write a letter to myself and when I go to send the letter it says I have to pay $2 to just send the letter!! I’m appalled and disappointed in them. I will no longer be using this app to send my letters. The devs have lost the plot and only care about money.

Used to be amazing, now we have to pay to send letters and the new app just looks like a browser. Unfortunately won’t be using it anymore, end of an era.

I have been using this app since 2024 I believe but it’s not worth it anymore you can write letters but not send them I wish this app wasn’t money hungry but honestly I don’t blame them 💔
Horrific app
The entire app is just a wrapped web browser chock full of ads and paywalls. Awful awful stuff.

Good Idea, Poor Functionality
The app/email interface is redundant and it’s difficult to set up an account password. Like the app concept but poor execution.

I’d rate it 0 if I could but i’m now coming to this app to write a letter only to find out I have to pay!?? Ridiculous back then it was free and I could write as many letters as I wanted to. Not to mention ads everywhere. I hate how the greed killed an app i used to love

End of an era
I used to love this site. I have sent many letters and even recommended it to people I work with. But now I find it impossible to use. The last letter I invested time in didn’t send to me, and even today when I tried to write a new letter, it wouldn’t let me through the email validation/ confirmation address. It’s also covered in pop-ups. Yet another lovely idea destroyed by greed. And you know what? I’d have made voluntary contributions to the app’s upkeep, as I do to several others, but I suppose I’ll just have to delete this one now. 🤷🏻♀️

You ruined this app
I’ve been using this app since 2019. SEVEN YEARS. I have made so many letters for myself. I would write a letter every time I was feeling down and this app truly has helped me. Now I have to pay for letters that I have been writing for free for 7 years is insane and so unfair since I have been supporting this app for years. I am so disheartened over this and will be finding another way to send free letters to myself.

I love futureme - but now the app has changed to the website is clunky with lots of ads which is really frustrating.

why have they ruined the app, the old ui was so much better and so much easier to navigate, i feel like im on a website rather than an app. i love the app but i dont like the change :/

I used to absolutely love this app! It was something fun and exciting and now you have to pay to do anything. Who’s going to pay when you can just write a letter put it under your bed and look at it in a year. Also, so many better free alternatives!
Woah why has the app changed?!
I’ve been using FutureMe for years and I’m a premium subscriber but I’ve just updated the app that was sleek, clean and user friendly to what now looks like a browser that I’d filled with ads (with no option to pay to remove them) it was so good before but now looks very old school website. :( left a review as no other way to contact.

The app uses to actually look .. like an app now it looks like a website with a billion ads & I don’t know why and you have to pay to send more letters to yourself now apart from that the ideas cute.
