About
Position sizing is the one calculation that decides what a losing trade actually costs you. Fx Calculator does it in seconds — with no connection, no account, and no guessing about which contract size your broker uses.
HOW IT WORKS
Enter your balance, the risk you accept, your entry and your stop. You get back the exact lot size, the money at risk, and the margin the position will lock. Change any field and every number updates with it. Long or short, the arithmetic gets the same care either way.
SEVEN CALCULATORS
• Position size — how many lots your risk allows
• Margin — what the broker locks for a position
• Pip value — what one pip is worth at a given size
• Risk / Reward — your stop measured against your target
• Profit / Loss — what a closed trade made or cost
• Pip counter — the distance between two prices
• Compound growth — where an account lands at a fixed return
SEE THE SETUP, NOT JUST THE NUMBER
Entry, stop and target sit on a price rail you can drag. The handles snap to whole price steps, so a drag can never produce a price your broker would refuse, and the exact figure stays on screen while you move it. Drag to aim, type to be precise. There is no candlestick chart here on purpose: the app holds no time data, and an axis that shows nothing is worse than no axis at all.
87 INSTRUMENTS, ALREADY INSIDE
50 currency pairs — 7 majors, 21 crosses, 22 emerging-market and Scandinavian.
17 stock indices — US30, NAS100, SPX500, US2000, GER40, UK100, FRA40, ESP35, ITA40, NETH25, EU50, SWI20, JP225, HK50, AUS200, CHINA50, INDIA50.
Gold and silver — XAU/USD, XAG/USD.
18 crypto pairs — BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, ADA, DOGE and more.
Anything missing, add it yourself as a custom instrument — symbol, market, base and quote currency, contract size, price step and decimal digits.
Indices are priced in their home currency — DAX in EUR, FTSE in GBP, JP225 in JPY — so pip value converts from the right money instead of a blanket USD assumption.
TUNED TO YOUR BROKER
Contract size and pip step genuinely differ between brokers. Is gold 50 ounces or 50,000? The app ships common retail defaults and lets you override every one of them, instrument by instrument, so the answer matches your account and not somebody else's.
EXACT ARITHMETIC, NOT FLOATING POINT
Every figure is computed in decimal. Money and lot sizes never pass through binary floating point, so you never get 0.7999999999999999 lots where 0.80 was meant — the kind of value a broker rejects outright.
LAID OUT YOUR WAY
Keep your four most-used calculators on the bar and reach the rest in one tap. Star the instruments you actually trade and they stay at the top; the ones you opened last are waiting there too.
BUILT AROUND YOUR ACCOUNT
• Account profiles — balance, currency and leverage kept per account, switched in a tap
• Rate book — store the conversion rates your calculations need, for when your account currency is not the instrument's
• History — keep any result and come back to it later
• Dark and light themes, or follow the system
OFFLINE, ALWAYS
Every calculation runs on your device. No price feed, no sign-in, nothing to wait for. Open it in airplane mode, on a plane, in a basement — the behaviour is identical.
YOUR NUMBER FORMAT
The app speaks 20 languages and reads numbers the way your language writes them. 2,46 stays 2,46 and never quietly becomes 2.46 — the kind of slip that turns a 0.25 lot into a 25 lot. Arabic and Persian read right to left throughout.
YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
No sign-up is needed to calculate. What you save lives on your device, and a single control in Settings deletes all of it for good.
This is a calculation tool. It does not connect to a broker, place orders, stream prices or give investment advice. The prices you type in are the prices it works from.
