Horrible

FXA really needs to improve the app. There’s no way to message the opposing team, which makes coordination almost impossible. You can’t confirm whether the other team has enough players or if anyone is running late. I’ve already wasted time showing up to a court for a game that wasn’t happening because there was no communication option. A simple chat feature or attendance tracker would solve this. The league is great, but the app is far behind what rec sports actually need.

Good addition FXA

7/26: Updating as recent version is a complete overhaul. Features from previous review are all gone. App feels like generic ai slop, except now with annoying ads

Really enjoy having a dedicated app! Easy to track upcoming games, stats, h2h, and even a newsfeed about the games. Developed well - UX is very intuitive. Some bugs here and there, nothing major.

Needs work

Works okay but needs some more work on it, like when you’re on league/team and go see your teams name/paid for the roster. It don’t say your roster team is paid off, it only says $0-650 but nothing is paid, so you’re thinking did anyone paid or not. And the chats doesn’t show up on screen when you’re actually typed something. Because I’m not texting someone’s number when it has a cartoon for your team.

This app is terrible

Legitimately have never seen a worse and more buggy app in my life. The website system was perfect and there were no issues with it. Now everyone is forced to get this app. As team captain it makes it extremely difficult to get everyone to pay- before it evenly divided up the fee between members and now there is only a suggested “contribution” button and no way to track who has paid. This season I had to pay $1200 out of pocket for my teammates who had issues with the app. Also there are useless AI summaries of the games that no one asked for. Super disappointed with this decision and app.

App seems to operate entirely separately from website

With an established system on the website they decided to move to an app. To join a league they mandated the teams join this app. The payment distribution is terrible, the jersey numbers which are required to play can’t be updated in the app, even though the app is being sold as the one place we have to go to so that we can complete our registration. Also I don’t want to be forced to share my email and phone number with people on a recreational sports team. A setting to make that information private should be available. Awful app, bad company decision that will make things harder for everyone involved.
