About

FxTimer is a stopwatch built for one job: flying F3K and F5K. Big, thumb-sized controls you can hit without looking away from the model. The running time fills the screen. Your flights are listed as you go, and the round's score is worked out as you fly it. CONNECTED TO THE CONTEST CLOCK Pair a small BLE bridge with the competition's timing system — Gliderscore or F3XVault — and the round, group, task and working window arrive on their own. No typing between rounds, no wondering how long is left. Preparation and no-fly time turn the display red; working time turns it green. The bridges relay to each other, so one plugged into the timing system covers a whole field. Nothing to configure: switch them on and they find each other. If your phone loses the link it reconnects by itself. Flying without a timing system? Set round, group and task by hand, or turn on Training mode for a working window of your own. KNOWS THE TASKS All thirteen F3K tasks, transcribed from FAI Sporting Code Section 4C effective 1 June 2026, with every rule citing its section. Tap the task name to read them. The app knows which flights count — the last three for Task J, the best five for G — and works out the round's raw score from the right ones. ENTERS YOUR TIMES FOR YOU Scan the QR code on your scorecard. After the round, FxTimer opens your own self-entry page and fills in the times, in whichever form the site asks for: three boxes on F3XVault, minutes and seconds on Gliderscore. It never presses Save — you check the page and submit it yourself. If the page is showing a different round from the one you flew, it fills nothing and says so. ALSO • Volume keys work as the stopwatch trigger, so you can time without looking • Audible cues for the end of the working window • Rounds saved on the device, exportable and importable • Works in the dark • No account, no ads, no tracking, no analytics — your times stay on your phone FxTimer needs a BLE bridge only for the live contest feed; everything else works on its own. The bridge firmware is open source.
