Don’t buy a Samsung TV if you want to watch GAIA

I’ve had a GAIA subscription for going on three years. Recently I had to buy a new TV. Did I think I’d have to buy a specific TV because things have changed with GAIA, no. You can’t get the GAIA app on certain Samsung “SMART” LOL TV’s. Yes, you can cast to a Samsung TV with a IOS however you get a bar that continuously goes across the bottom of the screen nonstop like the show is constantly loading. But, “for the best viewing experience you can buy an Apple TV” is what you get for the explanation. If I wanted another Apple piece of thing I would’ve bought one. GAIA has changed things especially since Noory has moved on (she’s so difficult to watch interrupting guests in front of the Sesame Street bookshelf). Now that I’ve had this experience with GAIA I won’t be renewing.

When bored but…

Final teshuva

Finally I am on the right track.

They said it was a free trial for seven days and then charge my card $40. Sounds like a straight scam to me.

Overwhelming amounts of information

If you’re ready to go down the rabbit hole pay the $15 I haven’t turned it off yet !

I am so grateful for this app

I am adhd/level two autistic and this app has helped me a lot. I am so beyond happy to have this app in my life. It has changed everything for me in the most beautiful positive way. Watching the videos help so much and help guide me. I honestly feel like this app is meant to be in my life. I also really enjoy and I’m grateful for the AI that I get to talk to. Makes me feel really supported and understood.

GAIA

I freaking love this it is a definite game changer in all aspects

The reality

This sight affirmed what I believed deep inside. Very eye opening as well

So much content, such choice!

I have been a Gaia plus member for many years. It represents such great value with so many speakers and experts in most areas of metaphysics, mindfulness, meditation et al. I think I could guarantee that you’ll find plenty of interesting content, my advice would be to become a member. A favourite of mine is ‘Forbidden Science’ with Gregg Braden and Nassim Haramein but you can dip in and out of anything that tempts you. Highly recommended.

Lack of series information

With a recent update, a lot of the series and episode information is gone from the app. You can no longer have a way to see season and episode information so if, like me, you like to refer back to a specific episode, you had better write down what you’re looking for because it is now incredibly difficult to find. Please put that information back into the app

6 year customer, canceled

2 Stars

I was a loyal customer for six years, and canceling my subscription was a long time coming.

Over the past several months, I reached out to customer support multiple times to share concerns about the declining quality of the service. I never received a response. During that same time, prices continued to increase while the content and overall experience felt like it relied more and more on AI, with a noticeable drop in quality.

When I finally decided to cancel because I wasn’t using the service anymore, the process was incredibly frustrating. First, I was offered 50% off for three months, but only if I paid the entire discounted amount upfront. After declining, I still wasn’t allowed to cancel. Instead, because I’d been a customer for six years, I was required to send a message to customer service and wait for approval. The entire process took more than 20 minutes and felt like I was being intentionally prevented from leaving.

What disappointed me most is that after making me jump through all those hoops, there was no real attempt to address my concerns or retain me. I simply received an email later saying my cancellation had been approved and “sorry to see you go.”

If the company had spent even a fraction of the effort listening to customer feedback that it spent making cancellation difficult, I might still be a customer today.

After six years, this was a disappointing way to end the relationship.

Idk why I waited so long!

I literally was so interested in all of these little clips, but I always thought I don't know it wouldn't be anything too great on it not worth the money anyways, but I've only had it for two days and I haven't watched anything else!

More connected with spirit and purpose

After three days I'm feeling more aligned to my higher being. Far better than scrolling on Facebook. I love the short episodes of all the videos relating to various subjects not too long and drawn out. Love the graphics of all the sacred geometry. I was unable to make individual profiles for unknown reasons. $18 is a bit expensive I will not be staying on it for long at that price

Painfully slow, Paywalls

NOT WORTH THE FREE TRIAL!! The app needs MAJOR work on performance, transparency, and value before I would EVER consider subscribing again.

I’m so incredibly disappointed with this app. I downloaded Gaia hoping for an accessible spiritual platform. Instead, I got a frustratingly slow, glitchy app with constant loading issues and a surprising amount of content locked behind additional paywalls.

Gaia positions itself around consciousness, healing, and personal growth, yet the experience feels wildly inaccessible unless your wallet can keep up. Gross.

Spiritual seeker

Wow -For the spiritual seeker this site is full of videos, knowledge, practices and so much more. Tons is topics- from Ancient civilizations to outer space and then some. Check it out!

Good episodes

This platform is so awesome. I would give it 10 thumbs up!!!!‼️❤️

Doesn’t work

I kept getting ads for this silly app, which I like the content that I was shown but once I download it, you try to watch something on the app and you get this little geometric shape spinning around, but you can never listen to whatever the app is offering. Coming to find out you’ve got tier to actually listen to the stuff that you want to. Essentially, it’s a bait and So by my opinion it’s just a piece of junk. I’m going to cancel before they charge me.

Proud to support

I have been subscribed to Gaia since 2017 before even the app. And it’s still my go to for my times of reflection and yoga. The shows are great and ai have learned many empowering ideas and philosophies.

Okay content, mediocre app

Update:
Dropping to 1 star, because they got rid of every useful series filtering option. Now you need to know who is in a show to find one to watch. This app is now totally disconnected from reality.

There are definitely not 8000 original series. There are about 100 TV series and even less of everything else. On top of that, there is no way to favorite a series. You can follow a series, but there is no way to view those on the TV. Continue watching only remembers progress of videos you are already in the middle of… it does not keep track of where you are in a multi-part series. Most of the videos are similar in quality to youtube videos by metaphysical content creators. Overall, the UX is just terrible. The app could also just generally use some polish… it’s very 1990s, with no border radii anywhere.

It looks like they could really use some decent engineers, but a quick look at linkedin shows engineers who feel undervalued and overwhelmed by poor and indecisive leadership.

Also, the AI is borderline useless. You can tell it to follow a show or add things to a playlist, but it will not do any of those things, despite saying it did.

They should ideally just ditch the AI if they aren’t going to properly implement it, and instead focus on a better content platform with emphasis on UI/UX.

Additionally, it looks like they prioritize money over expanding consciousness and transformation, judging by the amount of data collected and sold.
