The Goldilocks of educational apps
My kids have tried a lot of learning apps, but this is different. The lessons are short, genuinely fun, and Rakku (the AI tutor) makes grammar and writing skills feel like a game (without the gaming aspect taking over.) Highly recommend if you want screen time that’s actually productive.
A fun way of learning writing
My daughter has been using Gakku, and she’s been enjoying it a lot.
What I didn’t expect is that it actually teaches real writing skills. She’s been learning things like opinion and narrative writing in a very step-by-step way, and I’ve noticed she understands those concepts much more clearly now. Her writing has improved too.
It feels like a solid option for elementary and middle school kids, especially those who don’t enjoy traditional studying.

A game that actually teaches writing
I came across Gakku and saw that it’s a game-based learning app, so I had my son give it a try. He’s pretty playful and has a hard time staying focused for long periods, so this kind of format actually works really well for him.
At first, I assumed the app was more about the game and less about real learning — but it turned out to be the opposite. It genuinely teaches kids how to write.
The app breaks writing skills down into small, manageable pieces. For example, one module walks kids through how to write the info paragraph of an essay, showing them step by step how to create a strong hook to grab the reader’s attention.
Each module has clear, practical goals, and the explanations are engaging and easy to follow. So while it feels like a game, kids are actually picking up really important writing skills along the way.
Overall, I think it’s a great app.

Best gamified writing app
My kids love the app!! I never knew they could be so into studying until I gave them the app. It helps them to be better writers while having fun.

I’ve tried many AI tools, but Gakku is on a different level. Instead of just giving me a boring template, Raku (the AI tutor) actually talks to me! The Talk & Learn feature is a lifesaver when I have writer's block—I can just say my ideas out loud, and the app helps me organize them into a solid essay.
I love the Lesson Maps because they make learning feel like a journey rather than a chore. Also, the Math Coach doesn't just give the answer; it asks me "why" and helps me visualize the steps. Writing and math don't feel scary anymore. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to actually learn!

Actually a fun app and I didn’t expect to get hooked on a writing app lol. Love getting my free 2 gems every day! Definitely a good pick if you prefer fun over the usual structured online class
Writing tool I was looking for
I was looking for something educational for my 7 year old to build up her foundational writing / reading / expression skills. Nothing too dense bc I didn’t want to overwhelm her yet. Gakku was perfect - just the right blend of learning and fun!
A very interesting learning APP
There's a dedicated AI cartoon character that guides the English learning. It's super engaging and highly interactive. My kid absolutely loves it, and has made remarkable progress.

Login as guest and even when I gave them my Apple/Google Credentials issue. Stuck at login

Keeps crashing once it asks me why I want to use app
Although it says it says for grades 1-9 in the App Store, I saw this on Instagram and assumed it would be interesting enough for an adult but once it asks me questions it just crashes.
