Does not work see update
I got it to run once. I have no idea what triggered that one time since repeating the action did nothing. I think it may be so slow starting because I am in a recent operating system and get a warning about that when I call it up. I really enjoyed the light (free) version and found it both mesmerizing and fascinating. I am hoping an update will get it working. UPDATE IT NOW WORKS GREAT.

Love it.
I enjoyed the free version, but the upgrade was definitely worth it. The additional controls allow me to design two spiral galaxies that are distant enough that they can take a whole day to slowly strip the stars from each other's core - this is exactly what I've been looking for in a fun, visually spectacular, yet also intriguing particle toy - slash - screensaver.
The upgraded controls also allow me to try different configurations in real time - a nice change.
I think this has also given me a little better understanding of some of the more peculiar shapes we see in nebula and some of the more bizarre globular galaxies. If you set the star size to zero and the count to maximum, you can really start to see some interesting structures start to appear.
Really fun to what-if with, and an awesome way to daydream away an afternoon.
The only change I would hope for in the future would be an option to enter numerical values rather than using sliders, for trying out more precise collisions.
But it is sufficiently awesome as-is.

Please stop updating this app, otherwise I am not going to like the updates because of new features and compatibility changes! Please revert to the older version from last year forever.

Not worth the money
This is not worth the money at all the app tends to not work properly when running a simulation.
Astronomer professor's best simulation choice!
The Universe is a chaotic place and evolved through galaxy collisions. Gravity is unrelenting and this App exquisitely demonstrates the grand dance. It is the range of user options that sets this App heads above others. This is the "what if" interactivity that science educators crave! Give us more math driven interactive apps like this Klaus! This is a winner.
