Just a little fix
The game and the app is awesome, just a little thing needs to be fixed. In the newer iphone models, some texts appear under the notification notch, besides the front camera. They just need to bring the texts a little bit lower, and this problem will be solved.
Great adaptation of the board game
Well made app of the galaxy trucker board game. Campaign is fun to play and great training on rules and muscle memory while building ship, to later roast your friends at the game table .

Screen Issues on Iphone
Great app - only a minor complaint.
Text gets stuck behind the iphone island.
When countdown happens to finish ship building - you cannot select tiles. Effectively you can do nothing until the countdown ends.

Fun for quick sessions
Love that the game is in portrait mode! Sadly the rulebook is bugged and won’t let me x out to go back to my game, and then I have to close and restart the app :(

Pretty fun dang game. Never played in real life but if feels like a board game. Silly banter add on and great AI competition.
Great Adaptation with Some Room to Improve
The digital rendition of Galaxy Trucker comes with engaging solo modes and campaigns that tickle your strategic muscles. While the gameplay remains enjoyable, certain aspects need an overhaul:
Aesthetics: The font selection feels out of sync with the game’s overall style, and some in-game texts suffer from poor visibility due to their diminutive size and low contrast. The tile design feels a tad antiquated, especially when juxtaposed against the widely-promoted second edition. A feature to toggle between »legacy« and second edition tile sets would be a pleasant touch.
Interface: The app doesn’t seem optimized for newer iPhone models, evidenced by obscured UI elements hidden beneath the notch.
Misleading Description: Contrary to the App Store's claim of "no in-app purchases", there's at least one lurking in the game.
External Music Issue: A minor hiccup – when jamming to personal playlists with the device's sound off, launching the game curiously dims the music volume, despite there being no game sound.
Device Compatibility: A universal app inclusive of an iPad version would elevate the experience for tablet enthusiasts and is pretty much essential nowadays.
Despite its quirks, the game holds charm. However, a polish in terms of look and optimization would make this digital adaptation truly shine.

Thank you for the comprehensive review! We are aware of the aeshtetics issue and we're thinking about upgrading this. The only purchase we offer is expansion. I do not consider that as an in-app purchase as such... But I guess it is a borderline case. Ext music: if you minimalize the app, so the sound goes back up, and then return to the app, the sound will stay. Sorry about that! Working on a fix. Have a nice day, CGE team

Nice adaptation of board game but…
Nice adaptation of the board game that is plays well on small screens but… don’t expect a bigger/full size screen on a ipad: it remains small. Come on, Devs sort this issue out!!! Other than that, it’s a good!

Turns out that i bought the phone version and that there is a separate iPad version. So… I duly bought it and I like it. Good game now hat I can see!!!

Nicht ganz perfekt
Das sowohl digital als auch auf dem Brett grandios, keine Frage. Leider ist es wegen Verbindungsproblemen schon 2 Mal vorgekommen, dass ich in mehreren (5 laufenden Spielen) wegen Inaktivität durch die KI ersetzt wurde. Die Probleme liegen definitiv auf der Serverseite, was die Patchnotes bestätigen und nicht an meiner besch*beep*s*beep*nen Internetleitung. Also liebe Entwickler! Bei Problemen solchen oder ähnlichen Problemen, Serverzeit anhalten oder ein kompletten Server Rollback. Wenn das in Zukunft besser läuft, gibts wieder 5 Sterne.
Update: Leider hat sich seither nicht viel verbessert. App stürzt sehr oft ab und manche Runden stecken fest und es passiert nichts mehr, wenn Spieler durch KI ersetzt werden.
Bitte bitte noch mal n bisschen Arbeit reinsteckt. Es ist wirklich eines der besten Spiele, als Brett oder digitales Spiel.

A real gem
This is a very well done port of the board game but also adds a lot of single player content. It’s a very fun game of luck and skill, build a ship with the best scrap parts you can find and hope the dice favor you. Always peek at the mission cards after you’ve welded your first part, it’s vital to know how many cannons and crew you may need, and if you need cannons on the side.
