I expected more from Gallagher.
Both the W-O scales and the app have so fare been bery disappointing.
1#Big weight variation on animals caused me to suspect incorrect weights.
Upon testing with a known weight it was out by nearly a 160kg on a 800kg test weight.
2# trying to calibrate, not zero had to be done from YouTube video as there was nothing in the manual on how to do a periodic calibration.
This is something that has to be done on anything with a load cell. No exceptions. So why no instructions from the manufacturer in the manual?
3# the YouTube instruction videos do not match the actual screen icon/layout on the app I downloaded, yes it’s the latest update.
So couldn’t connect to scales to use. Assuming we get th to weigh correctly and RELIABLY.
I expected much better from the brand, and after spending this much on the system and a further $7000 in electric fencing, I’m not feeling very trustworthy of the brand anymore.

Garbage
Absolute garbage for what the reader costs, the Bluetooth connection and session reads don’t sync despite it saying synced. I thought I’d upgrade my truetest to Gallagher. Very disappointing, do your research and test app and wand before purchasing.
Way too basic
This app seems to actually be a basic report of information gained from the scale data. There are no editing functions and barely any ability to interact with the data. Just not sure what the hype is all about with this app. I should be able to delete bad data out of the scale that was synced over, add data to each cow such as notes, and date of birth but you can only see those items - you can’t update or change anything. Again, this is just a basic report writer.

Terrible functionality
Doesn’t connect to reader, impossible to sync, cannot be used in the yards wit reader due to constant glitching. Software obviously designed by a non farmer. If you can’t even connect a reader then what’s the point of it

Great for keeping track of livestock weight data, easy to use.

Have been using this app for a few months now, can’t fault it, has helped me reduce time spent playing around with other data transfer method.

I have recently switched from Gallagher APS to the cloud based system which includes this app.
My initial impression is that they have rushed an unfished product to market, hoping no one will notice. Whilst on the face of it, this new system has great potential, right now this app is next to useless. You can download animal and session data and view it, but that’s all. You can’t update an animal record and sync back to the cloud.
So for example if you’re on horseback, matching calves to cows out in the paddock, you are back to a pen and paper to keep notes. It would make sense to be able to look up a calf VID and be able to change fields like dam, status, notes etc from the app itself.

Not functional
Stuck in permanent loop whereby you can “connect” to the weigh bars and confirm update to current firmware, however it never actually seems to connect. The ‘connect’ option is always reset.
When trying to start a new session an error message asking if I “Want premium features?” comes up which is unable to progress past.
Pointless , frustrating app for a product that I paid close to $4k for.

Can’t move past terms
Download app to use with my new scanner won’t move past accepting the terms and conditions

I have the same problem as I am stuck in a loop after you agree to t&c’s and privacy takes you back to do it again Can’t find update of fix?

App was stuck in a seemingly infinite loop when you open it and login. You could agree to the privacy policy screens but they’d continually re-open no matter what you do.
I tried on another device and it still did not work. It was only after what would be my 100th attempt did it work.
Very frustrating.

Good.
There are quite a few bugs, but I think the app will improve in performance and usability with regular updates and bug fixes. Things that need to be worked on: 1. First and foremost (as sheep ranchers:) The standard cattle template should have the ability to be manipulated into a sheep record template as well. 2. The back ground photography should be enabled to be edited by the account users, in order to create a professional atmosphere for all the ranch account users. 3. All individual animals should have the option for editing: weight, changing to which group it belongs, and age, etc… 4. And all obvious females need a sub activity /trait for the VID or EID of their lambs. 5. The animal EID/VID search option should include sort list and groups search, also. Adjusting these 5 things would be a tremendous improvement to the app and would increase the Gallagher Software usability. Thanks! And have a great day.
