This app is such a brilliant idea! Bringing people together who aren’t usually brought together… city folk who tend to stick to their bubbles. With this community of neighbors you can create, grow and share your goods with others for trade or money. I love trading my homemade sourdough bread for backyard cruelty free eggs which I never could find prior to this app! It gives you that small town vibe! I love it!!

We love Galora and the app is really easy to use. We heard about Galora through a neighbor’s daughter Who sells baked goods on Galora. It was a great way for her to make money over summer vacation. We were so excited to be able to trade produce and other goods and services with our neighbors that we set up an account right away, and we are really happy we did!

Very convenient
Convenient user friendly app! I get notifications right away with this app compared to the previous site. A lot of improvement! I have a chance to get high quality food right in my neighborhood in exchange for my abundance!

Great Community App
Love this. It has been a fantastic tool to trade/give away my extra fruit this year and to also meet so many of the other backyard farmers and others in my neighborhood. It’s a pleasure to use and be a part of the Galora community.
Happy with the Galora app
Saw the review in the LA Times and downloaded the app some time after. Great idea! We love sharing our bounty and it’s a bonus when you get something different from someone else. Nice to meet people who appreciate and get excited by home grown organic produce. It’s an all around win!
Great way to build community (and get good food)!
A great way to utilize the skills and resources across neighborhoods. For me, Galora was a great way to find high quality produce for a great cost (often free!). LA can sometimes feel a bit isolating, and Galora helps create a shared sense of community. Fantastic tool.
Time is right to share
Love this app. Brings neighborhood connections and the time honored practice of gifting to your fingertips. Luckily I live in Southern CA where there are a lot of local fruit and vegetable options. I’ve traded homemade sourdough bread for a dozen of eggs, for oranges and lemons and for avocados. And have had folks I’ve traded with reach out again for another. Reminds me of the simple pleasures of life which if any good came from this pandemic it’s reconnecting with life’s simple pleasures.

Great for Trading Produce
I have met many lovely neighbors and fellow foodies and enjoyed bags of avocados, grapefruit, even atomic tomatoes in exchange for my rhubarb and homemade jams. This is a great app for gardeners and foodie locals who want to connect directly.
Awesome App
This is an awesome app. I have done so much trading in the community from water kefir grains to plants to bread. I have also made so much friends. The app is very user friendly. I love it.

The concept of this application is fantastic.
The app itself is terrible, and needs a new developer. It’s constantly glitchy, and I get logged out every time I close the application. I don’t get notifications when someone messages me, only via email.

Traded my zucchini for sourdough!
This is fun! Found a neighbor who bakes amazing rosemary sourdough. Traded zucchini from my garden. 💛👨🏻🌾🥒🥖
Love trading with people
I really like the app so far! I’m in San Diego and have been able to use it to meet some people near me that had a ton of extra grapefruits. I made them some bread, win-win! I’m excited to see more people on the app
