Got this app to use with homemade trivia games. Works perfectly, and the kids LOVE IT. For anyone having problem I would suggest making sure you are all on the same WiFi. Once someone gets a call/text connection may be lost but the game host can easily restart. The buzzer options aren't crazy loud but it doesn't really matter because whoever buzzed in first shows on the host's device. If you don't want to ask friends to buy the app to be a part of the game you can easily gift it to them in order to assume the cost. Love this app and can't wait for more updates.

Didn't work as advertised
Downloaded on three phones (three people paid for it) to use the features - host with two competing buzzers. The buzzer sound worked on one phone, the other wouldn't buzz loud enough to work in a talkative group AND the winner of the buzz-off never got reported to the host after several rounds. We connected correctly and everything.
If it had worked well, it would have been perfect for the event, we were disappointed. It gets one star for the one phone it did make a buzzer-noise on.
