Finally!!

I’m glad an app is finally here, but it’s kinda hard to use without mouse/trackpad support on iPad. Hopefully this is added soon!!

Great Start , now we need just more offline functionality (maybe also podcasts and videos) and better downloads of the magazine itself .

I personally think it’s better than the desktop site and the best way to access digital content. Having access to all the old issues on my phone is awesome

Just what I wanted

This is a good app. Good navigation and interface design, was a breeze signing into my subscription.
I always wanted them to bring back the GI app, congratulations on a job well done.

Almost perfect

For articles that feature a list of some sort, the article stops after the introduction and the actual list and written blurbs for each item are not there. I have to open the article on my internet browser to read the whole thing. Not sure if this is intentional? It’s pretty inconvenient. Otherwise, I do love everything else about the app!

Keep getting signed out

I download magazines an get signed out when I’m not on app just 1 day an re sign in forces me download magazines again it’s irritating

Lost Access to Previous Issues in Sub

You need a subscription to read the issues you previously had access to. Other magazine apps give you access to issues released during the period of your sub even if you don’t renew, why can’t Game Informer do the same? The back issues from before the relaunch are also blank.
UPDATE: Developer replied to review with a request to contact support. Why? It states on the website that you lose access to the archive for the relaunch issues if you don’t renew. I wasn’t aware of this when I bought a subscription. If I did, I wouldn’t have subscribed. I’m writing this just to let people who plan on getting a digital subscription know that they’re just renting the magazine.

Basic functions but can’t read anything

Even past magazines have all the words removed from the spread so one can’t read issues one otherwise could in the browser. Excited to see where the app can go because the layout is good but currently unusable and preventing me from wanting to subscribe

Gamescom 2026 Germany

Wir haben auf der Gamescom 2026 an einem Gewinnspiel teilgenommen und mussten dafür extra die App herunterladen. Leider entstand bei uns der Eindruck, dass die Gewinne nicht wirklich fair bzw. transparent vergeben wurden und offenbar Personen gewonnen haben, die den Veranstaltern bekannt waren.

Für mich war das sehr enttäuschend. Die App habe ich direkt danach wieder gelöscht und würde auch anderen empfehlen, sich vorher gut zu überlegen, ob sie dafür extra eine App installieren möchten.

Mehr Transparenz bei solchen Gewinnspielen wäre meiner Meinung nach dringend notwendig.

We're sorry to hear you left with the impression that the giveaway wasn't run fairly. We'd like to clarify how the draw actually worked: winners were picked using a physical raffle drum with paper entries, drawn live at the booth. There was no digital selection process behind it, which means it wasn't possible to preselect or influence who would win. Every entry had an equal, physical chance of being drawn. We're sorry you didn't come away as a winner this time. We hope you'll consider joining us again.

Beta Phase Seems Good

While Game Informer says the app is in beta phase the core functionality is very polished and I look forward to seeing more updates and features roll out as they’ve planned. Great start!

Beautifully designed, but flawed.

The app is promising, but the first couple of articles I clicked on did not load their image content, which were their focal point.
