What's New in Game Wall

1.18.2

September 18, 2026

• Sweeping your shelf with the camera now recognises far more games: spines are read more carefully on iPhone, so titles like "Vol. 1" no longer get misread and dropped. • Spines the app reads but cannot identify are now flagged on the camera itself, with an amber outline and a "Not identified" label. You can tell at a glance what was matched and what you will need to check yourself. • Those unidentified games reach the review screen with the text read off the spine, so you can search for them by hand or discard them. They also stop being retried over and over, so the ones that do match show up sooner. • Two volumes of the same game, such as "Master Collection Vol.1" and "Vol.2", are no longer treated as the same spine — until now only one of the two was added. • Scanning sticks to the console you pick: it no longer slips in a game that was never released on it, or a game's downloadable content instead of the game. • A single Switch box in frame used to make every other spine count as a Switch game. That is fixed. And games like "Nintendo Switch Sports" are recognised in full, instead of being cut down to "Sports". • Search now finds games with a number stuck to a full stop in the title, like "Master Collection Vol.2", which used to return nothing at all.
