Perfect for Fighting Fantasy
I have a large collection of Fighting Fantasy game books from my youth that I am revisiting now that my kids are grown and my time is my own again. The 12 year old me had no problem with incessantly writing and erasing and writing some more, but the older crotchety me would much rather use this app! So elegant in its simplicity, much like the game books it is used for. I love the way your adjusted stamina scores carry over from the battle page to the stats page and vice versa. I’m also a fan of the section you can put the paragraph number in when taking a break so you know at a glance where you left off. And of course the lockable stats so you don’t accidentally go over your initial scores. Lots to love in this little companion. I now just use a pencil and paper to draw a map, and keep track of everything else with this app. And while I still like rolling the dice myself, it will do that for you too if you want. All you need is some ambient music and you’re good to go!

Love it
Have a massive collection of FF game books. This goes perfect with them! Love how it saves your info even after you close the app! Forget Xbox and PlayStation. Fighting Fantasy is the OG!

Great App with Traditional Gamebooks
Just checked it out and bought the app! I have been piecing together little solutions with Excel for awhile. I’ve even used several apps at once - Notepad, Dice Rollers, Calculator. But it’s always too cumbersome when I’m trying to hold the book too - This is a great app! Thank you!!
My only suggestion - Add the ability to Save Characters. Allow players to have multiple characters at once. I often jump between gamebooks, but want to continue right where I left off later on.

Perfect App for Gamebook
This app is exactly what we need to play gamebook! Combat system is well done, equipment sheet complete and stats sheet is very versatile with nice icons and description editable. The dev really nailed it!

This app takes the messy part out of the game books. No need to photocopy sheets, erase my markings, or roll my dice 200 times. Occasionally I still do it old school but I've partly used this app for my last 20-30 plays. It was great before, but the interface on this new update is much easier to use. I love it! Great app for people who still enjoy playing an old game book from time to time.

Perfect for Fighting Fantasy Players!
As someone who just started a new collection of the beloved game books I enjoyed so much as a teenager, I learned the thing I DIDN'T miss was constantly erasing and writing numbers and wearing down my adventure sheet. This app solves this problem, and also comes with dice (although, admittedly, I prefer using my own "real" dice...it's just part of the fun!).

No need to lumber around dice and paper anymore. All you need is a gamebook and this app. Very simple to use, this app is the perfect companion to "Fighting Fantasy" type books. With easy to roll battles, testing your skill etc has never been so much fun.

Brilliant app...I use this to switch between stats and fighting fantasy PDFs...don't need book, dice or pencil.
Shame there's no iPad specific app cos the iPhone style looks poor...retina display doesn't do much for this.
iPad specific app please author... And also please make possibility of loading a PDF into this so I don't have to switch...would be great if you could do that!

Good for classic books
This app is great for those I us who grew up playing the old fighting fantasy books. They pretty much give a portable character sheet and die roller. I highly recommend this to anybody who enjoys these kinds of books.
Fighting Fantasy companion
This app is like a glove to the fighting fantasy game books!!! It helps keep up with your stats as you read/play. My only complaint is there should be additional monster counters for when you have to battle multiple monsters at once. I'm hoping there will be an update soon that will include this little nugget. Otherwise I would have given it a 5 star rating. For a buck I highly recommend it if you are a beginner to the Fighting Fantasy world. User friendly and easy to use!!!!
