Ganttly: Gantt Chart Planner

Ganttly 2.0 is a major update designed to make personal project planning more visual, intuitive, and flexible. Redesigned timelines, reusable projects, interactive Home Screen widgets, and faster ways to plan. Day, Week, Month, and Year views now share a consistent Gantt-style layout. See every week, month, or year from the beginning of the project through completion, including clearly labeled periods with no scheduled tasks. Each chart scrolls and zooms independently. Choose between: – View All to see the full project timeline – View Current to focus on the current week, month, or year • View Scheduled Days Day View now offers View Scheduled Days, showing only the days that contain tasks instead of filling the screen with empty dates. Long gaps are clearly summarized with messages such as: No tasks for 18 days You can also choose View Current to focus on one specific day. • Faster task creation Press and hold directly on an empty area of any Gantt chart to create a new task at that exact date or time. In Day View, Ganttly automatically detects the selected time and prefills the task details. The existing + button remains available for standard task creation. • Pinch to zoom Pinch directly on a timeline to zoom in or out. Task names, timeline columns, labels, rows, and duration bars scale together while keeping the selected point beneath your fingers. • Faster timeline navigation Tap a day in Week View to open that date in Day View. Tap a date in Month View to open its corresponding week, or tap a month in Year View to jump directly to that month. Deep links from widgets also open the correct project and Next task date, regardless of where you previously left the app. • Recurring Projects Mark recipes, routines, checklists, and repeatable workflows as recurring. Once every task is complete, use Start Again inside Ganttly to reset the entire project while keeping its content intact. Keep the existing schedule, move the project to today, or choose a specific new start date. All task times, durations, and spacing remain preserved. • Interactive Home Screen widgets Keep projects visible and make progress without opening Ganttly. New widgets include: – Next Up for your next task and overall progress – Project Timeline for a compact visual Gantt chart – Large Project Timeline for an expanded mini Gantt view – Ganttly Projects for monitoring multiple projects together Complete tasks directly from supported widgets. Every widget showing the same project refreshes together, and tapping a project opens it directly in Ganttly. • Reorder your projects Press and hold a project to drag it into a new position. Your chosen order is saved and also determines which projects appear first in multi-project widgets. Completed projects now display a green checkmark directly in the Projects list. • Helpful gesture tips New one-time shortcut cards introduce Ganttly’s hidden interactions, including: – Press and hold a project to reorder – Swipe right to edit – Swipe left to delete – Press and hold a timeline to add a task – Pinch to zoom Dismiss each tip once you are comfortable, and it will not appear again. • Refined Projects screen The Projects page now includes a project count, cleaner individual add and settings buttons, improved alignment, and a more polished layout. • Visual polish and bug fixes This update includes extensive improvements to timeline positioning, horizontal scrolling, pinch zoom, task alignment, completion indicators, project navigation, widget interactions, view persistence, empty states, headers, themes, and overall layout consistency. Ganttly 2.0 makes everyday projects easier to see, organize, repeat, and complete.
