Fun, and teaches basic words
A very good game to teach children how to spell and pronounce lots of words!
Sizing
The picture doesn’t fit within the screen on the phone. We can’t see all the options and can’t see where a settings button is due to the inaccurate sizing.
Useless
App doesn’t fit XS screen so useless. No response from develops - is it a scam?
Didn’t work on iPhone
I love the idea of this app and my 6 year old engaged well with it. Unfortunately it didn’t fit my phone screen and became more frustrating than educational.
Doesn’t fit the screen
I had this app a few years ago and it worked fine. When my son got too old for it I uninstalled it. Now my daughter is old enough to play it and now it doesn’t fit the phone screen. Its way too large and you can’t get to the buttons. It is unusable.
Looks great
But I cannot drag down the letters as it pulls down the notifications instead. Anyway of fixing this?
Does not fit screen
This game was a waste of money! It does not adjust to the iPhone.
Not working on my IPhone
The app does not adjust to the size of the screen on my IPhone so you cannot see the full screen and we haven’t even had the chance to really try the game. Waste of money.
Disappointed
Doesn’t work. Looks like it would be good, but the image doesn’t fit on the screen so it becomes unusable. Very disappointing! This app came in a bundle with 9 others. Several have this same problem!
Stop Looking!
If you are looking for the perfect app to teach children how to begin reading (in a fun way)....you just found it.
Get this for early reading
This app is awesome. It has multiple levels at different difficulties. Love to build the houses. Recommend.
Great
This is a wonderful fun app. Getting kids a head start on reading! It entertains and the kids learn more about reading
My favorite phonics app for beginners
This is my favorite phonics app for my child who is just learning letter sounds.
Great if worked
Please update so it works again. Doesn't work with latest software updates. My daughter loves it but it isn't working, please fix
Better for 5 and under beginning readers
I regularly have purchased literacy and numeracy apps for my children over the past 4 years, so I have a experience and fair idea of what constitutes challenging, yet age appropriate content in a game. I have recently become frustrated with itunes (or the game creators') age categorization for kids, 5 and under and then 6-8 does not accurately reflect content. Getting to the point, this game is better suited for 5 and under.
This game may be a good educational game for early phonics and sight word learners, ie. ages 4-5. It is way too easy for a first grader or a child reading beyond three letter sight words, even at the most difficult setting.

Ads in a paid app?
I don't like paying for an app and it still has ads in it.
My son loves this app!
He can't get enough of it & shows everyone he runs into! It makes him very interested in learning how to read & then to be able to get rewards to build a cute house makes him want more. Now can Gappy do 4 letter words & more?! That would be awesome! We want this love for learning to keep going! :)
Great for building confidence!
My barely 4 year old loves this spelling game. There are 4 different levels and the player has to fill in the missing letter(s) of three letter words. The prize at the end of each level is a new addition to the house. She gets really excited to swap out new doors/Windows/siding on the house. Definitely worth the money to build reading/spelling confidence!

"They're bad at saying stuff"
Nice idea but poor execution. It's hard to understand what the voiceover is saying. When you can't tell if she's saying Rim or Rib or Pin, you can't really get it right.
This happens more than half the time. "They said Vet for Net," my kiddo just said.

Only one issue
Very well done. It is simple and fun. My four year old is whipping through it. My only issue is the sounding out of the letter "r". It makes a ruh sound; not er.
