I’ve been using Garage Band for years on my ipad to sketch ideas then I finish them in Logic. All of a sudden I can’t open my old songs and I can’t update.

So, I don’t really write reviews. But, I had really wanted to write a song and decided I should use this app. I slowly found out that they have very limited instruments for the kind of song I wanted to make, most was just more upbeat instruments. For example, why isn’t there a flute? Or any other kinds of percussion like that to make more flowy music instead of all upbeat. It’s a good app, and amazing for beginners just, can be annoying.

Developers, fix this please
Whenever I use a specific synth sound (tight punch lead) from edges and angles pack, it makes my music files completely inaccessible..
I have the pack downloaded, but whenever I exit out of my song, it doesn’t let me back in, telling me something along the lines of “missing sound pack”
I have the pack.. please fix this because I can no longer access some of my greatest songs and I want to be able to make music with this pack. (Edges and Angles.)

So i used the Chinese drum kit and id use the suspense kinda clicking noises but when id record them then listen it would sound doubled anyway cool app might just be me dont know

Hello! I’ve been using GarageBand loops a lot so I like to practice music with it, but I was looking for some loops that you do not have so I made some research and heard that you used to have the Middle Eastern pack and I would love it if you brought the pack back to the sound library and I will leave you a higher rating.

Deleted Four Months of Save Files
What the title says. It randomly deleted four months of save files and sample recordings.
FOUR MONTHS WORTH including finished songs, samples and projects that I needed for college.
Nothing was updated, nothing was changed, the files just vanished and aren’t in any folders or the recently deleted folder. They’re not in the ‘cloud’ either. Just gone.
Apple support have been in touch and want me to send them a copy of the file. The deleted by the app file. When I pointed this out I received the exact same message requesting the file. Morons, absolute morons.
Done with Apple and this app.

All great but I have a suggestion!
When it comes to sampling audio could you make a plugin sort of like the au pitch plugin where you can alter not only the pitch of the audio but also the SPEED of the audio INDEPENDENTLY (two separate sliders perhaps) without having to put it into the sampler (because the sampler doesn’t allow you to chop and mix up the audio file it only allows you to create a loop that repeats which you can then record) please add this feature it would be very helpful!

I love the app, but it is buggy…
The app is incredible for creativity. But developers are putting in half the effort. The app has a lot of bugs and glitches. From unexpected crashes. To not being able to play more than 4 notes at the same time (which was possible a few updates ago). To the sustain pedal not being registered if you start recording with it already pressed. These are the ones I most frequently encounter. Thankfully they have already fixed other bugs I used to encounter, but the ones I mentioned above seem to be persistent.

It’s a great app for sure but the little kinks in it really irritates me like how when you try and make your own drum beat, garage band totally ruins the timing but on other instruments it doesn’t do that and how the amps don’t work at all. Still a good app with lots of sounds.
