The absolute best app
This app has helped me manage my garden for over 6 years now. I love having the visual catalogue of all of the plants in my garden, as well as access to information about those plants. It can help you remember when you fertilized, repotted, etc. I also use it to identify different stages of plants, so I know what I am looking at when I’m weeding. This app is one of, if not my most, used app. I definitely recommend it to people who are avid gardeners, especially if you like to collect a lot of different varieties of plant species.

Helps Me Record My Garden, Not Understand It
I’ve tried Gardenize a few times and wanted to like it, but ultimately I found myself going back to other apps. For basic plant tracking, photo journals, reminders, and plant information, it works fine.
Where it falls short for me is that it feels more like a digital garden notebook than a modern gardening platform. I garden in a challenging high-desert environment and would love to see features such as zone mapping, microclimate tracking, weather integration, soil observations, shade analysis, wildlife and pollinator tracking, and long-term garden analytics.
The app does a good job recording information, but I’d love to see it help users discover patterns and learn from their data over time. After reviewing the update history, it also appears that major feature development has slowed in recent years.
For casual gardeners, Gardenize may be exactly what they’re looking for. For gardeners managing larger spaces, experimenting with soil improvement, or tracking ecosystem development, there is still a lot of untapped potential.
I appreciate the work the developers have put into the app and hope future updates continue pushing it beyond a journal and toward a true garden management system.

It signed me out & can’t get back
I’ve only used the free version & liked that I could just open the app to see when each plant was started & have my notes to refer to. I always put the plants in manually because every plant I tried wasn’t found in database. I stopped trying that way & just automatically went to manual. Not a big deal.
My problem now is that it has signed me out & I cannot get back into it. The plants I planted this afternoon can’t be added. This has taught me not to depend on it. lol. I’ll definitely be putting the info on paper if I’m able to get signed back in. I came to the recent reviews to see if it was happening to others.

Doesn’t Work
I’m very disappointed with this app. I paid a subscription so I could get plant care information but it just says - Didn’t work, try again - over and over again. And I can’t get any response, after endless messages and emails. No customer service at all.
Terrible
I wanted to love it. Idea being it is great. Crashed all the time,
