I heard about the app from the Matilda engine paper on arxiv and gave it a try. The beginner courses are good and the ability to create bots that play like you and your friends is really neat

Personalized my style

GarryChess has really helped me get into playing chess with the Novice course. I’m a very much beginner and the Novice course gave me some great nuggets of chess knowledge while somehow engaging me and my short attention span :// The app is also helping find my own personal chess style instead of just using random openings and tactics. There’s also a wide selection of free bots that emulate the style of famous GMs well
