won’t even let me use it it wants me to invite friends which i don’t wanna do and when i’ve gone off that it’s just glitching and not letting me do anything
Uploading photos
Everytime i try to upload a photo it says No Image Selected, even though it is a normal photo, some photos work and they arent the ones i took. Its pretty hard to upload pictures when the app is telling me im not selecting anything.
Gutes Konzept, aber mit Schwächen in der Umsetzung
Die Idee und das Konzept von GATE - DON’T GATE sind wirklich klasse. Alles an einem Ort zu haben – alle Links zu Social-Media-Accounts, Interessen auf einem Space repräsentieren und gleichzeitig Menschen mit ähnlichen Interessen finden – ist super. Die Grundidee passt, der Aufbau der App ist sinnvoll, und es macht Spaß, seine Lieblingsthemen dort zu kuratieren. Aber: Das User Interface ist leider noch nicht ausgereift. Ich finde es teilweise unübersichtlich, und die App hat viele Bugs. Besonders das Setup meines Accounts war von Anfang an sehr fehlerhaft. Es scheint, als hätte man an manchen Stellen noch nicht die Basics zu 100 % optimiert, bevor man zusätzliche Features eingebaut hat. Ein Beispiel: Das Einfügen von Links ist oft problematisch. Normale Links, wie z. B. von Organisationen, funktionieren teilweise einfach nicht. Das habe ich vor allem in der Support-Kategorie gemerkt, wo ich einen Link zu einer UN-Organisation hinzufügen wollte – leider ohne Erfolg. Solche Probleme ziehen sich durch und beeinträchtigen die Nutzererfahrung erheblich. Das führt dazu, dass die App weniger Spaß macht, als sie eigentlich könnte, und man auch weniger Zeit darauf verbringen möchte. Das ist schade, denn das Potenzial ist definitiv da! Ich bin zuversichtlich, dass die App mit mehr Nutzern und Verbesserungen – gerade in puncto Stabilität und Benutzerfreundlichkeit – deutlich mehr Spaß machen wird. Bis dahin bleibt aber noch einiges an Arbeit.

Very cool app to hold all my favorite things from music, books, food spots. I specifically love the map feature on the food spots category because it allows me to see all my faves on one map. You could also create your own category which is really dope as well. Will definitely be sharing with all my friends.

Great app, does its job at trying to stop gatekeeping. The interface is very simple and easy to use, not many active users but that will hopefully change in the close future. 5/5 do recommend 🙂
