What's New in GateShell

2.1

September 15, 2026

GateShell has grown from a fast SSH client into a full server command center, still with zero backend and nothing collected. New in this release: • Native Mosh: encrypted UDP that survives network changes and hours of sleep, with automatic SSH fallback when UDP is blocked. • Security Assistant scans a server for missing updates, exposed listeners, weak SSH policy, firewall gaps, and expiring certificates. Every finding shows its evidence, and fixes wait for your approval. • Bring your own coding agent: start, resume, and interrupt Claude Code, Codex, or Gemini CLI in any project on your server. • 20+ server dashboards for Docker, databases, Nginx, Firewall, Cron, and more, each with real actions. • Fleet broadcasts a command to every server at once. • An optional open-source agent you install on your own server for metric history and push alerts when a service drops, a disk fills, or a cron job fails. • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, plus a Live Activity for the connection you're on. • Jump hosts, ~/.ssh/config import, Secure Enclave hardware-backed keys, and encrypted PuTTY (.ppk) import. • Show your servers in the Files app. • On-device AI: describe a command in plain English, get instant log summaries, and approve a multi-step agent plan before it runs. • Git diff review, a real code editor with find/replace, and custom font import. As always: your keys and your servers never leave your device.
