Deceptive and misleading pricing
Reported to the ACCC, Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and Victorian Consumer Affairs for unclear fees and misleading practice. Instead of helping with my concerns, they immediately banned my account because they know what they are doing is illegal.
Found a place within a few days
Great app to find a safe place to live with like minded people. I found somewhere to live after only a few days of looking.
Awesome service.
I honestly don’t know where I would be without this app. It really helped me connect with the right people at a moment I was needing the most. The interface is impeccable, super simple to use and intuitive. It really makes the daunting task of finding a new place to live a lot more manageable… even enjoyable. I will always recommend it and will always count on it.

The worst!
Advertisers do not reply to full-time workers looking for a rental so good luck finding accommodation.
The customer service received was poor at best. Kerry, reference 976218, sent a reply that would be considered a score of -1, if that were possible.
I do not recommend this app. It’s employees need training in how to communicate with customer complaints.
Overall: a complete waste of time.

Not gay friendly
This app is actually a pure copy of their other app, flatmate finder, so much that you found the same homophobic people who don’t want to live with gay people. How hard is it to put filters??
Then you send them an email to challenge them on that, and they reply you that they don’t even see that as homophobia, just a choice of life. Ok, next time, they will allow people to say they don’t want to live with black people, and will claim this is not racism…
Really, Gay Share is more a marketing tool, rather than a genuine attempt to help gay people.
