Got worse not better
The app has always had lags and full stops which has irritated me. Occasionally it would shut off. But since I updated it it doesn’t work at all! It shut off and no amount of touching the play button could get it to play again. WBUR here I come

Great app, helps me keep in touch with my favorite NPR station while I’m away from home.
Stream still buggy
The app has improved alot but the stream still glitches and cuts out making it so you have to close the app and reopen it.

Even since December the streams have gotten so much more reliable. I love the local focus and the uncluttered design of this app. It’s so easy to find recent episodes of BPR and The Culture Show. Fantastic local reporting in a clean interface - thanks GBH!
Focus on Audio stability first, not UI and other features
I want to have a bulletproof experience with audio playback. That means no interruptions or glitches that stop playback midstream (happens occasionally in iOS, and much worse on Android, notably when moving outside WiFi range). Then if playback was interrupted by some glitch, don’t serve me another 15 second ad. This app has improved over time, and that’s greatly appreciated. Please bring more focus on stability. I use this app daily as an on-phone radio, and have no desire to use it for video playback or reading written news articles. Thank you WGBH team!

The discussions sometimes are perfect to the point and relevant, and sometimes stray. As non-Boston resident some topics tend to be unrelated to my needs. Wish there were specific time and weekdays for when Chuck Todd, John King, Julliette Kayyem, Andrea Cabral, Judge Nancy G etc are on the program to talk of National or State-wide news.

Confusing to Navigate
Tried to locate a previously aired spot I heard earlier in the week, By searching on the app for the specific article, from the specific program, at the specific time, on a specific date and got nowhere. Useless.
My only station
I tend to keep my radio on all the time, and it’s always on GBH. I respect their broadcast and am a true fan. I feel that I am kept up to date with what’s going on in Boston, Massachusetts, and the world.

Easy, honest news and information
I like that the app has various media options. I use the audio (live broadcast) the most, but sometimes want to read the stories or even watch a video from time to time.

Im hoping to find the new show somewhat political & please continue to report & discuss the brazen lying of our President & cronies. - I love all the guests, weekly monthly etc. this program has humor to keep us sane. We are in trouble. Please keep focused on the violence ,cruelty , as well as the good activists & their thoughts - Please. Newer isn’t better
The old version of the GBH app was much easier to navigate. Well, this one has more photos and more glitz. It doesn’t really improve the navigation experience. It was much easier for me to find programs on the old app. That is programs that I want to listen to. None of this will stop me from supporting GBH of course but it’s a little disappointing. Newer is not better.

There may have been updates but I agree that the stream cites out a lot even though I try many things to start it up again. It is too bad that this can’t hold up.
LOVE WHBH
This station’s hosts, guests and content keep me sane. I try at times to avoid the news because its so infuriating these days. But one needs to know whats going on to some point. The discussions i hear on GBH are thoughtful and decent and humane. I feel what i hear is absolutely trustworthy and true. I dont know what i would do without it.
