It says Geiger Bot needs to be updated?
It states thatGeiger bot needs to be updated. But itโs not letting me download the update or updates. Please help address and fix. I really do need access to this information. This is a wonderful app and sati light is very clear and correct. Most updated usually. I also need to keep track of things my Grandfather has in certain areas of the USA. He was Neil Armstrong CEO of NASA. He was also known as Rhino Rhyne In Wilmington NC. ๐ฏ๐โโ๏ธ my name is Casey Admiral Pharr his grandson. This software is not compatible with iOS 16. It was easily worth a Jackson back in the day.......

Stopped working with iOS 12
It was a great app (was 5 stars)until Apple updated their OS without considering retroactive compatibility. Itโs unfortunate that Apple expects developers to continually update their apps without taking any responsibility.

Doesnโt Work with IOS 12
This app no longer works with IOS12.3.1
The app does not request to use the microphone via the IOS privacy and will also not support inline cable. The same Geiger counter does work with Pocket Geiger.

This is my favourite app. It works without a Geiger counter, it gives a decent to real reading AND IT'S FREE!!!!
Works well - solid running app
Geiger Bot does what it says. It running perfectly with no lockups or glitches. A rare 5 star app.

This app works amazing good when configured correctly. I use a GS 1100a to drive a Nal(T)
crystal detector at 800 volts. And supply audio to iPad mic input with low noise audio cable and Peterson strobebosoft guitar (iRig) adapter. The iPad mic input inverts audio +\-. So, Geiger Bot sees signal inverted. To correct, rewire at audio input plug wire + for - terminals. Use Gamma Spectacular setting in Custom Tube menu.
Then, in Pulse Shape Training menu select 32 bit sample rate. Return to scintillation screen to view Gamma Photon Spectrums.

Works great!
I connected my Geiger Counter kit (from MightyOhm) to the iPhones microphone input using a home-made little circuit I found on the web. Ran this software, and it works as advertised, very nice! Even has a calibration for the GM tube I'm using (SBM-20), so I can get results in "real units", not just CPM.
If this app doesn't work for you, I'd suggest you do some research first on how to properly connect and use it before leaving 1 star ratings. The software DOES work, and works well, but you do have to know what you are doing!
My next project is building a a scintillation counter to try the Gamma Ray Spectroscopy out!

Does not work
The app doesn't work with geiger counter plugged in. And it seems the only thing to cause the CPM to go up is taping on the phone with my nails or loud noises. The place where i bought my geiger counter from said it was compatible with this software, so I'm just guessing this is a bug that the devs need to work out. It's sad I was really looking forward to using this app.

More than a simple app
This application is amazing, not only does it function as a geiger counter, it also plots the data with gps positioning and allows the user to export the data by email, now if that isn,t enough, with a scintillation detector it becomes a spectroscopy system and isotope identifier. This is more like a professional tool, it's thumbs up from me.

Sophisticated features, AND well documented!
I am embarrassed that I got this app for free. It's got a wealth of features and unbelievably complete documentation. On top of all this, I had a question about a GM sensor I wanted to use with this app, so I sent an email, late one evening. To my amazement I had a full reply from the developer when I opened my email the next morning.
This guy needs to start charging for this app, a lot. It's that good.

Superb Application
This is a superb companion application to almost any Geiger Counter but it comes to its best if you buy, or build, a sensor with a Geiger Muller tube specifically to connect to the iPhone. Brilliant. Note again that if you don't have a Geiger Counter, it is useless.
Doesn't function after update.
I have been using Geiger Bot with my DX-1 with great results, until the latest update. Since then, it's become "deaf" to my Geiger counter. It no longer registers the clicks. My other apps that utilize the mic still function, so it isn't a hardware issue on my end. I've reinstalled it with no luck. When it works, this is a great app.

Counts the clicks like an accountant!
First, to Maxi Lu: You need a geiger counter to use this app. This is not one of those silly "fool your friends" fake geiger counter apps. It counts the clicks on a real geiger counter.
That said, it works great! At least on my digital geiger counter it does. It counts the clicks with perfect precision. It does not need complete quiet either. You can be talking and it'll still give a correct count. I only tried it on background radiation of 12 CPM avg, so I can't say how well it works if you're in a dangerous radiation area. :')
The developer releases frequent updates adding new features, also. I gotta try the new "experimental mode" that purports to count other things like the RPM of a fan!
I think there's only one other app like this in the app store, and this one blows it away.

Dependes on sound
The readings reached over 600 in Starbucks, and over 1000 in the subway. We thought Starbucks was a dangerous place. However, when we returned school, Tony shouted loudly to my iTouch, and the reading rised over 3000.
Great app, awesome updates
This app has come a long way since V1 and its possible to get really useful readings from any inexpensive geiger counter, even for background radiation. Thanks for a great app and awesome updates!
