Started off really good but now it just constantly says it can’t identify crystal even on the ones it previously had identified so on this basis I will be cancelling the subscription sadly.

Why hide the cost?
When I read through the initial information about this app before I purchase it that is where I expect to read about the pricing for using the app. Why do you not mention anything until I’ve downloaded the app and go to use it for the first time??

I’ve only used this app once on my 3k wedding ring and it was spot on, make sure you’re not taking the photo of your jewelry or gemstones too closely or it will give you an error message which I appreciate. I look forward to trying this app on other gemstones as well.. but so far, so good.. I’m impressed!

Got on lifetime offer. Would not pay a subscription for this (I only own one subscription app, an app with changing daily news articles for kids)…I recommend if you can purchase as a (reasonable) pay-once lifetime offer. I have yet to find any mineral identifier that is actually accurate, but I do like the way the app is set up, and how you can ask questions using AI chat to gain more information. It also lists quite a few details about the identified mineral, including Moh’s scale hardness, refractive index etc. I would like a better app icon though.

Didn’t work
Downloaded today, photographed a simple specimen (black tourmaline in feldspar matrix) and nothing. It sat for 1/2 hour or more like it was going to share its findings. Finally I closed out the app. Needs work. May try a few more specimens before I delete the app altogether.
So far so good
Looking forward to testing it some more.

So I’m just putting this review in here so that I can get unlimited pro for a lifetime, but they make you do it before you try the app at all so that’s weird. Seems dumb.
