Vast improvements
When this app came out a few years back, Gen Con did not seem to know what to do with it. Now, with a schedule that can show you where your next game is, allow you to try locking in purchase tickets, and a full map, I’d say it just about perfect.
A 2026 Banger
No ads, nothing to buy, map link takes you straight to the table in the room in the hotel. It rules. The only confusion is why the map is oriented with S on top
Garbage App
This app has been garbage for years, and remains unchanged, but now they are trying to force people to go digital to sign up for games. Maybe figure out your garbage app before trying to force everyone to use it. A list of 10l items that are unsortable maybe isn’t a good idea.
Event signups don’t work
Attempted to sign up for events twice now on two seperate releases, both times it was so glitchy that the app never actually let me sign up. Also never knew about wish lists, so priority went somewhere I couldn’t control. I feel jaded
Serviceable
Ok at best. Considering a lot if software devs are active board gamers I’m surprised the GenCon app is so mediocre.
