Gen: Nearby Hangouts

Gen helps you find people nearby to do things with: badminton tonight, hotpot after midterms, a board-game night, a Sunday hike. • Open the map and see small meetups ("linkups") near you, with how many people are in and how many spots are left. • Join with one tap. The exact address unlocks once you're in, and the group chat opens right away. • Nothing on yet? Post a quick ask like "anyone up for badminton Saturday?". When people raise a hand, turn it into a linkup in one tap. • Host your own in seconds: pick an activity, place and time, and Gen suggests a title and description. • Check in when you arrive, give aura to people you had fun with, and keep your weekly streak going. Gen is a quest • Every real-world linkup earns XP, and hosting earns more. Fill your linkup for a full-house bonus, or be the first to join one that's been waiting. • Level up, unlock ranks and complete 87 side quests. Built for meeting people safely • 18+ only, and one account per phone number. • Exact addresses are shown only to people who joined. • Block or report anyone from their profile. We act on reports within 24 hours. • Trip sharing, an emergency contact and one-tap SOS. • Women-only linkups, age ranges, and 19+ for drinking linkups. Gen works in Chinese and English, and linkups can be held in Chinese, English, Cantonese, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Farsi, Hindi and more. Made in Toronto.
