One of the better apps... by comparison
I know very few people actually read these, but I'm leaving a review anyway. Maybe, just maybe, it will help some parent make an educated decision.
The first thing this app did was ask me to turn on push notifications. Push notifications? For a storybook game? I dread to think of what the notifications are.
This app isn't actually that bad. The retelling of the tale chosen is decent, with the creators of the app staying loyal to the original story while to an extent making it their own. I found it boring, but it's clearly an educational game for very young children and I think the target audience would get some level of enjoyment out of this. However, the one voice you hear seems to be putting on a fake British accent for some reason, and gets annoying quickly. And of course, half the content, including half the storybook itself, is locked behind a paywall...
...Did I say this app isn't that bad? What I meant is that it isn't that bad when compared to other TabTale apps. Yes, their average game is even worse. Many of them have forced ads, with some even having the guts to put forced ads in whenever there's a slight lull in the gameplay, and the price tag to unlock everything is almost always unacceptably high. By comparison, this app is like a gift from the holy Father Himself.
But that doesn't mean it's very good. I'm certain there are better Bible-themed apps on the app store that cost less than $4, or at least don't pretend to be a free app to trick kids into charging their parents' credit cards.

Update
Updated. Formerly, entire story was in color. Now must spend $3.99 to unlock color.
Rip off
Purchased two years ago and now saying I need to pay and wants to make me buy full app again. When I try to restore purchase it says there is no purchase to restore even though it's in my PAID App Store inventory. Tried deleting and restoring app and it's still the same. They just took my money and acted like it never happened.

Ads on a payed app!!!
I did not payed this app to see ALL the time advertise! My kids touch it inadvertently every time they try to turn back or forward the page!! Very disappointed!
Beautiful, but ....
I love the app. The depiction of the story of creation is not only accurate, but age appropriate and engaging. I only wish there were not any advertisements on this paid app. This makes me not want to purchase another one from this developer.
