Great Complication but ONE problem…
I love the idea and capability of this complication, the only issue I have is that if you have it set to the more realistic moon, the complication is too transparent compared to the other complications on my watch. I can barely see it, I would love it so much more if it was just more visible on the watch face.

No longer works
The app is not showing up on my watch. It appears to be no longer supported.
Needs support
Amazing complication and I still use it. Only now I use the stock moon for display on my watch because it shows the actual moon graphic. Geneva Moon complication does not show the actual moon graphic anymore for some reason. It’s the same as the simple graphic. Have reinstalled and changed the settings but just stays simple. So I use the apple moon now for display then I go to app dock and launch Geneva for more moon info.
Another issue now is the arrow buttons don’t seem to work anymore. I think it just needs some love from the developers. I am a huge fan of this complication. Maybe add a tip jar or something to give it some support and keep it updated! I’d tip!

No longer available and doesn’t work
This app just says PURCHASED and is greyed out. I bought it before, but have no way to install it on a new Apple Watch.
Also, the app is broken and no longer allows you to skip from moon phase to moon phase (showing the dates when the phases will happen) by tapping the < and > symbols.
I used to love this complication, but the developer is no longer supporting it and is not answering emails.

Stopped working properly
This used to be a good app, with an accurate depiction of the moon phase on my Apple Watch. However, the ‘actual’ depiction of the moon is now exactly the same as the ‘simple’ depiction - an inaccurate white crescent with zero moon markings. What once looked good, now looks crap. I have emailed the developer who has not yet responded.

Used to love this app
I just moved to my new S8 Apple Watch and upon downloading this app again, the “actual” version no longer works. Both appear as the “simple” render.
I’ve rebooted the watch. It did work on my S5 with WatchOS 9.0. It just seems that image isn’t in the app anymore.
Hope this is a simple fix Underscore…

Small Bug?
As an amateur astronomer, this complication for my watch is very useful. There are a couple of issues. First, the moon raise time is about 40 minutes too early. Second, I assume the arrows in the bottom centre of the screen that shows the moon information is supposed to be used to go ahead or back a day or more so you can get the information for those days. These arrows don’t work.

App delete and reinstall and watch reboot didn’t help.

Great!
I quickly got annoyed at the built in moon complication not being accurate, and it is way too gratifying to have the moon in my Geneva Moon complication match the actual moon exactly!
Not working for Apple Watch 7 at all
Purchased the app I can see the app in the watch. But I cannot setup the app. After trying a long time, I only have an option to delete it. So sorry!
Mostly accurate
The app looks fantastic on the Apple Watch and most of the time the moonrise and moonset data is correct.
However on occasions, especially at quarter moons, the data is one Day out. For example today is September 29, 2021 in London and the moonset data is for September 28.

Love this app!
Absolutely love this app and I’m gutted since I got my new phone it no longer works on my Apple Watch! Please help!
Way better than stock moon complication
Most of the bad reviews are from people who had problems installing this watch only app. Maybe the instructions are better now, but I didn’t have any problems. Also, you need to allow location access from the watch app to update your location.
I found the stock moon complication lacking and confusing. While Geneva Moon doesn’t do exactly what I wanted, it is clear and much more robust. What I was looking for was to have the complication clearly show moonrise/moonset like how the sunrise/sunset complication works. Geneva Moon has that info, but you have to open the app instead of seeing it on the watch face.
Overall, if you want moon info visible from your watch face, then this is the complication for you!

Simple yet elegant
I use this app to schedule night runs when the moon is full. The watch face provided by Apple doesn’t provide you with any data related to the timing of a full moon so the additional information provided by Geneva Moon enables scheduling.
Exactly what I wanted
I wanted a moon complication that would show me details about the moon (mostly the moon phase) when I tapped on it. Geneva Moon is just that. After opening it for the first time, I switch to the information view. There it stays until the watch ever restarts. In a perfect world, I could permanently set the screen the app opens to. Seeing as a rarely restart my watch, this is the tiniest inconvenience that could ever exist. The complication itself looks great and makes it easy to tell how much of the moon is illuminated.

Does what it says
App is nice and complication works ok. Had an isssur where it said ‘Failed to update location’ and defaults to Greenwich UK. Had to go to phone to allow the location sharing, now it works fine
Finally the right way round.
Finally, the moon is the right way around in the Souther Hemisphere.
I wish there was more dithering on the shadow though, currently the line is too stark. Needs refinement.

Very impressive app
Ive been disappointed by so many apps that don’t show the moon phase and orientation as it really is. This app does a great job showing the phase and the orientation correctly and can be added as the numerous complications. Also very pleased with the use of the AW5 compass and the ability to scroll and see the motion of the moon with the appropriate orientation. Very well done!
The only thing I would want is the ability to increase the font size some for us old eyes. There’s plenty of space on the apple face so it would be nice as an option. Thanks

Beautiful, but flawed
This is a beautiful and superior replacement for the built in moon complication, as it gives a realistic rendition of not only the phase, but also the orientation for your current location. But the associated app has a fatal flaw: the moon set times are correct, but the moon rise times are for the previous day. If this bug were fixed, I would raise my review from 3 to 5 stars. I already missed a photo op because I relied on this app rather than my typical ephemeris.

Just what I was looking for!
From the day I purchased my Apple Series 5 watch, I was bothered by the fact that the moon phase complication did not depict the visible moon phase accurately.
On a whim I decided to google the moon phase and I saw a review for Geneva Moon. I purchased the app immediately and couldn’t be more happy with my purchase.
David Smith has done an exceptional job developing an app that can be incorporated into any Apple Watch face.
My Apple Watch has just ticked off one more box on the list of details that make a watch great.
