App is half-useless; a problem only for NiMH batteries?

I use NiMH batteries for old R/C cars, and I bought the D300+ charger mostly because it supports NiMH batteries, but also gives me the option to use modern lithium-chemistry batteries in future R/C vehicles. However, most NiMH battery tasks that I can successfully do on the D300+ just fails or loses a lot of its usefulness when I try to do it through the app.

WHAT WORKS:

A) The app allows you to remotely MONITOR an existing, ongoing NiMH battery task.

B) The app allows you to remotely STOP an existing, ongoing NiMH battery task.

WHAT DOESN’T WORK:

1) The app fails when you try to remotely START any NiMH battery task, and it indicates so with a “Start Failed” pop-up message. What seems to be happening is that the app is unaware that the charger is asking “Confirm using NiMH battery?” on its interface. If you happen to be standing next to the charger and confirm on the charger’s interface that you’re indeed using a NiMH battery… then it goes. So the app can only succeed at starting a task for a NiMH battery if you’re at the charger to work the charger’s interface… which moots the entire point of this functionality on the app.

2) The app notification of task completion is a pop-up window that demands you click its lone “Stop Task” button, and precludes you from accessing the app in any other way. What that means is that if the last thing you were looking at was Channel A, but Channel B just got done with its charging task and manifested the task completion pop-up window over the app… you can’t switch to Channel B to see what the final mAh was. And clicking the “Stop Task” button wipes the information off the channel, so that info is lost.

3) Charger log records everything as “LiPo” instead of NIMH. No recording of achieved capacity, or achieved discharge.

I can only hope that this app works much better for lithium-chemistry batteries.
