FAQ
What is GeoFog?
GeoFog is a travel app that turns everyday walks into a visual map of explored territory. You can reveal streets as you walk, record your journeys, and even capture areas by completing closed loops.
How does GeoFog work?
As you walk, GeoFog reveals streets from a fog on your map. The 'Frontiers' mode allows you to capture territory by walking closed loops, with simulated competitors and nearby rankings.
Is GeoFog free to use?
GeoFog requires an active subscription or an eligible free trial to access its features. While registration for 'Explore' mode is optional, 'Frontiers' requires an account and internet connection.
What are the subscription options for GeoFog?
GeoFog offers weekly, monthly, and annual subscription plans. The monthly plan is $4.99, and the yearly plan is $29.99, which includes a 7-day free trial.
Can I cancel my GeoFog subscription?
Yes, subscriptions can be managed or canceled through your Apple Account settings. You must cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid automatic renewal.
Does GeoFog track steps accurately?
Steps are measured when Motion access is available. If Motion access is not available, the app will label the steps as estimates.
What data does GeoFog collect?
For 'Explore' mode, route history stays on your device. 'Frontiers' mode sends location and capture information to its server to validate claims and maintain territory and rankings. Coordinates and routes are excluded from product analytics.
What devices is GeoFog available on?
GeoFog is available on iPhone and iPad, as indicated by its supported devices.
