The game used to be free but then the game started to become a little popular and a $7 a MONTH billing paywall was added. The cheaper option is $47.90 a year. The funniest thing is that the paywall cost changes for steam, mobile, and browser. The features on each site also differ. On the mobile app you aren’t allowed to play any game modes infinitely without a subscription. However on the steam game you are allowed to play single player duels forever. It is truly insane to me how greedy the developers are and I can not recommend this game due to the astronomical price to play.

O jogo era muito bom, até não se conseguir mais jogar nada além do jogo diário, para continuar jogando é preciso pagar. Péssima atualização.

In 1990, thousands of people rejoiced, when a monument of dread was crumpled to the ground. The Berlin Paywall had finally fell and united GeoGuessr with the 90% of it no longer being locked away. If you don’t get it, here are simpler words. I love GeoGuessr don’t get me wrong, and I know they need money, but the game experience is comically worse and it becomes a bit of a Berlin Wall encircling West Berlin. Ronald Reagan and I both agree to “TEAR DOWN THIS WALL!!!”
