What's New in GeoLedger

2.0

August 18, 2026

Version 2.0 is the largest update GeoLedger has had: documents for your whole family, travel history rebuilt around real border crossings, and a new design throughout. DOCUMENTS FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY • Up to 21 documents instead of 5, with more than one per country — keep a passport and residence permit side by side • Add documents for your family members, not just your own. Their documents are tracked by validity dates and never affect your own days on the ground • Six new types, including Digital Nomad Visa, Work Permit, Student Permit and Permanent Resident Card • Give each document a number or name, drag them into the order you want, and choose which ones appear on Today • Hidden documents still warn you before they expire SCHENGEN, REBUILT LIKE COUNTRY PERMIT • Documents now live directly on the Schengen screen, with support for up to 21 Schengen documents • Edit a document straight from the Today card • Document type now leads throughout the interface, with its number shown separately • A family member’s Schengen document never affects your own 90/180 calculation A NEW DESIGN • Glass cards with titles set into the border, over the outline of your current country and a location dot that breathes • Today leads with your current country. On days you cross a border, earlier stays stack underneath with the crossing time — (+1) or (−1) marks a crossing that fell on another local day, just like flight schedules • History now includes a share bar for every country, heat-colored maps with a legend, and a Schengen map showing your current 90-day badge • Tap a country on the world map to jump straight to it in the list • Grey system backgrounds are gone — menus, forms, photo import and the paywall now match the rest of GeoLedger TRIPS ON REAL CROSSINGS • Trips are built from a journal of border crossings, so a day trip abroad and back counts as one day away, not two • Every country counts its days in its own time zone • The day editor lists each crossing separately, so you can delete or reorder them • Photo import refines the order and can recover a same-day return ALSO • Reminders for tax thresholds, Schengen limits and document expiry, held back during quiet hours • Widgets redesigned to match the app and follow the document order you set • US states with no income tax show a day counter instead of a progress bar • Five more languages: Arabic, Hebrew, Czech, Greek and Hungarian. Arabic and Hebrew mirror the entire interface for right-to-left reading • A new app icon • The backup format has changed. Version 2.0 opens both old and new backups; earlier versions cannot open backups created by 2.0
