What's New in GeoReper
1.2.3
August 24, 2026
Built for working without a signal. Field work no longer depends on having coverage. This release fixes the ways GeoReper used to let you down out of range. • Your offline work stays put. Points, visits and surveys recorded without a signal used to disappear from the map and lists after closing the app. They were never lost — they always uploaded once you reconnected — but you couldn't see them, and it was easy to record the same point twice. They now stay visible until they sync. • No more being locked out in the field. If your session expired while you were offline, the app asked you to sign in again — which needs a connection you didn't have. You can now keep working, and everything syncs when you're back. • Offline maps that actually work (beta). Downloaded areas now render as the map itself, so the map keeps working with no signal at all. Turn it on under Settings → Offline maps → "Offline map engine". It's off by default while we test it; leave it off for the familiar map. • Nothing fails silently. If a record can't reach the server after repeated attempts, you're told, instead of it quietly disappearing. • Fewer duplicate visits after reconnecting.
