Screen resolution low and slow interface

Screen resolution low and slow interface. All tree types not in either on plant finder. Audio tour should just be downloaded to phone so that you can just listen with no connection. In addition the museum audio tour needs better placards. It gets confusing where the audio tour is telling you to look.

Made for a great visit

Filled with information on the entire estate, great map, up-to-date info on happenings, lots of things to do from within the app like buying tickets and making reservations at the restaurant. I had a great visit with all of the extra info this app provided!

There's an App for that...

It seems everywhere you go, there's an app for that. It makes sense that Mount Vernon has finally caught up. George Washington was a man who loved technology and he would love this app. It gives you a chance to explore the grounds in a more detailed and cohesive way. It has a little bit for everyone: a plant finder, audio tours on different topics, and even games. A great addition to supplement an already great place!

Great App! Everything Mount Vernon right here!

The app was perfect for my visit to Mount Vernon! I enjoyed the look and functionality of the app as well as the usefulness and fun of the plant finder. This app is exactly what I needed to enhance my trip to Historical Mount Vernon!

Great app

This app really let's you get the most out of your trip to Mount Vernon. As somebody who is interested in gardening I especially enjoyed the plant identifier.

A must-have app for a visit to Mount Vernon

If you have a mobile device - be sure to download this app. Though it takes a bit of time to open (the update can take a few minutes) it is completely worth the wait.

Hours, tours, events, etc are up to date, maps are accurate, and there is even information on all the flowers in the garden.

Mount Vernon in the 21st Century!

I was really surprised by this app. I had no idea how much Mount Vernon had to offer. It's great to have it all right there (and there is a lot) at your fingertips when you visit the estate. There were a few hiccups like the content taking a while to load and the audio tours not being free, but that can't really be helped. Overall, a great way to learn more about Mount Vernon in the modern age.

A Good Tool

I found the Mount Vernon App to be very useful. When you turn it on, it
immediately updates to reflect the day's events and then you can plan your visit: get directions, hours of operation, what to see, where to eat, park and purchase tickets - all spelled out in one place! Then you can explore George Washington's house. Each room is highlighted and explained, take one of 5 audio tours, find and identify plants in bloom that day and much, much more! A great tool to get the most of your visit to the first president's home.

George Washington would have used this app

I love using this new app at Mount Vernon. The simple keypad interface allowed me to bring up information on everything ranging from buildings on the estate to interesting objects in the museum. The app also has a bunch of different audio tours that you can download and follow while visiting. I also found the George Washington quiz and the Colonial Selfie to be fun and entertaining. A must have for any visit or even for any George Washington fan.

Don't join wifi

Unfortunately, I was unable to download any of the Audio Tours. After speaking to others in my group at the end of the day, it seems the problem was that we all joined the free mt. Vernon wifi and it was not allowing Internet traffic flow once joined. My suggestion to future tourists would be to attempt to use the app and download the "in app purchase"tours before you are on site.
