The first instruction is intended for people who work commercially with unpackaged or perishable food, including jobs in restaurants, kitchens, cafés, bakeries, butcher shops, catering, delivery services, food retail, care facilities, and daycare. This also applies to temporary staff, part-time workers, interns, and students. It covers work restrictions under Section 42 IfSG and reporting duties for people who handle food professionally. The first instruction itself remains valid indefinitely. When starting relevant work for the first time, the certificate must be no more than three months old. The employer’s follow-up instruction every two years is not part of this app course and must be organized by the employer. PLEASE NOTE The course takes about 10 minutes on average.
