Features work, but firmware info in documentation outdated.

Updated: Was able to get support and figure the problems out. Our device firmware wasn’t fully up to date as instructions on the website didn’t say the right version. But with supports input got the newest firmware which was in some other documentation. All of the software issues were fixed. Though documentation could still use a lot of work to be intuitive it is workable with after a few headaches. Would be nice to have some more customisable features but current set is also workable with now that they work for us as intended.

Old review: The software is very limited, can’t customise very much in terms of interaction zones and templates. That would be ok but main features just simply do not work. The app is for a touch encoder but the custom touch zones and keypads simply don’t work when transferring from this app to the device. The hardware is great but it’s very frustrating when support doesn’t even attempt to resolve these issues in a timely manner especially when we have deadlines to meet. We only have so much time to produce and polish the UI for our needs before we’ll have to abandon working with the touch encoder. Documentation is also very poor, it would probably be easy for people who haven’t developed before if it worked, but for people with some experience it is very limiting.

Drop the iPad, write a desktop app, make it functional.

Not intuitive to use, buggy, limited documentation, and have to base everything on existing templates. No way to create elements on the screen unless they were in the template to begin with. Seems like this app got halfway through development when the budget ran dry. This app should’ve been a windows app to begin with, no engineer wants to program a device like this on an iPad. This could be a sweet product but the lack of a decent programming environment is strangling it. Wish I didn’t have to waste $900 plus on a sdk to find that out.
