I did uninstall the app and then reinstalled it to see if that would help. It did not.

Ages 4 and Up? Seriously?
Tells me all I need to know not to mention upon sampling the app absolutely nothing was right and it was either my friend or it was coming to get me. Seems these phone “ovilus” apps all use the same word bank.
It would be great to lighten the load of gadgets to carry during investigations if your ovilus could be part of your phone but last I heard phones frequently cause problems and interface as well as false positives if turned on in an investigation. The opinions are mixed but depends on if you’re asking a genuine parapsychologist or someone on television?

I don’t like taking the the recordings I speak first and then leave the app in the other room or wherever and then go back and listen to any noise or voices and sure as I said you will be amazed at what you will hear. 10/10 App recordings. The other two apps not up to much. Keep away from any metal objects as the other two seems to work near metal objects. GW xxx

EVP recorder collects all data from the microphone in your phone/tablet. If the microphone is fully functional but the app doesn't show any data, then the sensor (microphone) doesn't collect any data. This app ONLY loads data from actual sensors in your own unit (phone or tablet). Conclusion; either the sensors in your phone are broken (or needs to be recalibrated) OR they don't pick up on anything - rather than when you are nere speakers or other items containing magnets (because the MAGNETometer sensor picks up on their EMF). I am a paranormal investigator, have been for almost 30 years and am leery of all apps pertaining to field use in the paranormal realm.
Even though the motion detector is fairly accurate the EMF Detector is not accurate when compared to using MEL Meters or even a simple EMF Detector . I used 8 meters along with the app and the actual devices were within .03 to .1 while the app was well beyond the range of acceptance. Tried turning off all background running apps on the phone and it did not change the numbers recorded. The EMF Detector is not recommended to be used since the phone itself gives off readings .
As for the audio recorder it’s fair but not great. This very well can be due to the Apple design of their mic and speaker system on the phone but the filtering of background noises cannot be controlled so it’s difficult to obtain EVPs worth wild.
In no way do I feel that the app is a scam ; but all need to remember that first and foremost the application is being run through an electronic device and secondly no device out there can scientifically prove one way or the other of the Existence of the Paranormal

What you refer to in your review is the motion/vibration detector function that indicates strong motion with flashing lights (that occurs if you hold the device in your hand while it's activated). Lay it on a flat surface and activate it to record motion/vibration.
