Easy but lacking

The app is simple to use, but seems to be lacking full functionality. No ability to photograph firearms. Not able to enter quantities of ammunition. It was also too easy to accidentally delete data. It needs to have confirmation to delete. May download it again when it has more functionality.

Response from developer

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I really appreciate it! You are correct that there is not currently a way to attach photos to firearms or other items. That feature is on my development list and should be added in a future update. For ammunition quantities, the app does support tracking amounts and values. To do this, create an ammunition group, then tap the “+” icon in that group to add transactions such as date, quantity, and price. The app will automatically keep track of your total inventory and its value. Regarding deleted data, there may have been some confusion between archiving and deleting. The only way to permanently delete an item is to open its edit form, scroll to the bottom, and select Delete. To simply hide an item, you can archive it using the archive icon on the far right of the record’s icon row. Archived items are hidden from active lists but can be viewed or restored anytime by adjusting your filters. Thank you again for trying Ghostpoint Armory and for sharing your thoughts. Feedback like this helps me improve the app and prioritize future updates. Ghostpoint Armory

Love, but a tiny flaw

Love this app! I have been using it regularly, and I don’t pay for apps often. It’s been everything I needed and more. After about 3 months, I have finally found something that needs added. There are a lot of specialty calibers out these days, but in regard to ammo, you’re not able to add a specialty caliber into the app like you are able to add custom manufacturers, custom storage brands, etc.

As an owner of a couple firearms in calibers like 6.5 Grendel, it would be nice to add those into my account database on Ghostpoint. 6.5 Creedmoor is on there, but Grendel isn’t, granted, the Grendel round is still a few years newer than the Creedmoor, but not by much. Do you plan on updating things like this soon? Thank you in advance. Still a great app overall, and I LOVE the zombie readiness aspect as well, though, I hope I wouldn’t encounter 100 per day every day if things go sideways.

Respectfully,

Response from developer

Hi Joe, Thanks for the kind review! I know we chatted over email, but I’m putting this here for others that may have the same question. The app has the functionality for you to add custom calibers today, but you can only input them through the settings menu, as it allows you to better define the type of firearm that the custom caliber is associated with. If you open the Settings menu, then select Calibers in the Custom Items section, you will see the full list of calibers by firearm type. At the bottom of each firearm type calibers section, you’ll see an ‘Add Item’ button where you can create a custom caliber for the associated firearm type. This will then become available within the other parts of the application, such as firearms or ammunition entries. Hope this helps! Thanks for your support! Ghostpoint Armory
