Στη νέα έκδοση της εφαρμογής Gi-Polis δίνεται έμφαση στην γενικότερη ενημέρωση του χρήστη από τους Δήμους που έχει επιλέξει. Πλέον ο χρήστης έχει τη δυνατότητα να επιλέξει ανάμεσα σε οκτώ θεματικές κατηγορίες ειδοποιήσεων π.χ. Υγεία, Κοινωνικά, Εκπαίδευση, Πολιτισμός-Τουρισμός, Πολιτική Προστασία κτλ. ώστε να λαμβάνει ειδοποιήσεις μόνο σχετικές με τα θέματα που τον ενδιαφέρουν. Η καινούργια έκδοση περιλαμβάνει επίσης νέο, ανανεωμένο σχεδιασμό, με περισσότερες πληροφορίες στο σώμα του μηνύματος, όπως είναι οι ακριβείς ώρα και ημερομηνία αποστολής του κ.ά. Ο χρήστης θα συνεχίσει να έχει πρόσβαση σε παλαιότερες ειδοποιήσεις που έχουν σταλεί από τον εκάστοτε επιλεγμένο Δήμο, όπως και να λαμβάνει μηνύματα με βάση τη θέση του.
