Awful

Log in doesn’t work properly. It says there’s an error. Rebooting and starting the app again and it says you are now logged in. The list view of venues cannot to sorted or filtered to find anything nearby. You must search for a city name. The map doesn’t work. It shows venues, none of which can be clicked on and don’t show a venue name. They’re just a blank pin. As other reviews point out, this has been the case for months.

Not a single contact in months

Terrible ... with my experience I'm amazed I've never even been responded to .. absolute waste of energy ... 30 years experience still playing relevant music and quality events and venues but ever even been contacted back to any jobs in MONTHS .. don't waste your time

The customer service is non-existent

I downloaded the app and filled out a profile. I had a problem using the map. It didn’t seem to work so I tried using the in-app help with no success. I sent an email to the address that the help suggested and never received a reply. I tried another address from their website (which was hard to find) and still no reply. The app just asked me to give feedback. I tried but it said there was a problem. The whole thing looks like a waste of time so I’m going to delete the app.

I don’t get enough booking

I’m a very experienced DJ but don’t get bookings

Ability to see other players on calendar

great app but when using the calendar on the website version, you can see the other people booked on the gig, however on the app there is no feature for this!

Cancellations!!

Have been getting an increase in the amount of cancellations recently. We had a NYE gig booked for £1000 which was cancelled on short notice. Leaving us with no time to find another. There seems to be no protection for artists when it comes to cancellations. It would be nice if some sort of deposit scheme or cancellation fee could be introduced especially for higher paying gigs as venues are able to cancel gigs willy nilly with no repurcussions whilst the artist takes the loss. People’s livelyhood are at stake here. So just be wary of this

GigPig Review

Brilliant gig booking facility with extremely helpful and attentive online staff, effective invoicing with 14 day payments with full transparency on the service provided. Have recommend to multiple musicians 👊

Good way to connect to venues

Good way to get connections with venues, but can be quite slow after pressing accept or reject.

Great for DJs

I’ve been an open format DJ for a number of years, primarily performing at weddings, corporates etc, usually getting bookings solely based on word of mouth.
When I wanted to branch out into the bar & club scene, I found it incredibly difficult to get a foot in the door of any of the bars in my local city (It seemed you had to know someone who knew someone)
Within 2 weeks of signing up to GigPig, I was playing at a large bar in the city centre to a packed crowd. I’ve since been invited back to play at the same venue. To say I’m thrilled is an understatement!

Regarding the functionality of the app, it’s easy to set your profile up, find local venues, and apply & respond to gigs.
The search function is a little slow, so maybe improvements can be made in that area.
On the whole, I’m delighted to have found this app and I would whole heartedly recommend it to performing artists who want to extend their reach.

Waste of time and energy

Such a waste of time and energy. Lots of interest, zero bookings. You go to all the trouble working your diary to fit in booking requests for the venues only for them to never actually book you and never get back to you. Seems another way to exploit bands and artists with their ‘under minimum’ option where venues try and book you for less than your fee, works great for venues and GigPig, but terribly for the artists.
