What's New in GigRig G3

March 13, 2024

Version 1.6 adds support for the new reliable bluetooth transmission to G3 for firmware updates, songlists and backups. Please note, that your G3 must already be updated to firmware version 688 to work with this version of the app. Use the web editor on the G3 site to update G3 to minimum supported firmware first if necessary.

Zunächst schleppend, aber hervorragender Support

Die App ist nun zwar (endlich) da, aber nicht zu benutzen, bevor man sein G3 auf die aktuelle Firmware gebracht hat. Das geht ja nun ausschließlich über die App. Leider funktioniert (bei mir) aber das Update schon nicht. Damit ist die App erstmal komplett nutzlos. Denn die so dringend erwartete Funktion, endlich mal ein Backup von den G3 Settings zu machen, funktioniert halt erst mit dem Firmware Update. Es dreht sich also im Kreis... Glücklicherweise ist aber der Gigrig Support ganz hervorragend und ich bin guter Dinge, dass meine entsprechende Supportanfrage zeitnah beantwortet wird.

Update: Und genau so war‘s. Alles wurde zeitnah beantwortet und die Jungs haben alles zum Erfolg geführt. Da nun das G3 auf der aktuellen Firmware ist, dürfte es künftig reibungslos klappen.
