What is gitbay?
gitbay is a mobile client for a CLI-first git forge. It allows you to read, review, and respond to your git repositories when you are away from a keyboard. It connects to your own gitbay instance.
How do I sign in to gitbay?
You sign in with a token you mint over SSH. There is no password or browser flow required, and the app does not create an account with us. The token is stored securely in your device's Keychain.
What can I do with gitbay?
You can browse files, commit history, branches, and tags. You can also review merge requests, manage issues, monitor CI builds, and view READMEs and wikis.
Does gitbay require my own git server?
Yes, gitbay requires you to have your own gitbay instance. The app talks only to the instance you name and uses tokens you generate.
Is gitbay free to use?
Yes, gitbay is free to use. The forge and the client are developed in the open at gitbay.org.
