Don’t get until updated...
I purchased after finding out they added accelerometer support but once flying, I noticed that none of the gauges work. Can’t even tell my airspeed. Graphics are beautiful though.

Terrible app. To control, it requires the keyboard—keyboard? If you used it, it would eat up the screen.

Don’t buy this app
Worst money I have ever spent on an app and I’ve bought loads of flight sims.. none of the instruments work and the flights are not very life like at all. The scenery rendering is barely acceptable.

Bought this app before looking at reviews. Big mistake. Load of sh!t. No vario sound so completely useless. Can't tell if your going up or down. There is absolutely no point in this game. It's far from simulation. Well it simulates loosing 79p pretty well but that's it. Lots of good flight sims around so look at reviews first and get a good one

A very realistic sim！
Very disappointed
This app appears to give you the experience of flying a glider at your fingertips. As a glider pilot, I thought what would be pretty cool so I went ahead and got the app. It turns out, the app crashes when you try to do anything, I didn't even get to the part where there is a simulation because it crashes on the home screen. Until this is improved, I don't think anyone should get this app.

Total rubbish - their claims are lies - no ridge lift - only birds you see are in down drafts! Very dissatisfied! Save your money and get Aerofly FS instead - a true soaring experience with fantastic graphics. Shame on you Flight Unlimited!

Soar the Beautiful Skies
This is one of my favorite games on the iPad. The scenery is easily the best I’ve seen for a mobile flight simulator. There’s not much to do in the game but such is the nature of being a Glider pilot. The goal is to stay aloft as long as possible. You accomplish this by seeking out the Thermals which are pretty hard to find. The landscape is pretty large, I was able to stay in the air long enough to explore and I found a town and a pretty neat looking lake. If you’re a try fan of flight simulation I highly suggest this game. If you just want to show off what your iPad can do I also suggest this.

Celtic Eyes Graphics
I was so disappointed in this app. I am a glider pilot, so I thought it would be fun to get a little down time flying. I have two iPads and and the app will not start on either one. So as I would like to do a better review, I never even got to the flying part. Had high hope but was very disappointed.

Paid app stuffed with ads?
You are forced to watch a video ad before EVERY flight. Absolute junk.
Needs work...
The app does work, but what is not clear is that you need to register as a user before you can fly. When working it's ok'ish but there are some shortcomings... altitude is shown in really small text at the foot of the screen which makes it difficult to judge whether you have found lift or not I would suggest an audible lift signal would be a good addition. Also in cockpit view, the gauges are images only, again difficult to tell what is happening. Finally a couple of different models would make this better.

Dosnt work, copied anyway
Downloaded the app as a real life glider pilot... Thinking oooh gliders! Actually, the app crashes when you try to 'fly' and to be honest it does not motivate me to try and get it working.. The app images show that the glider(ls8) is an exact copy of the 'extreme soaring3d' app. So to sum it up, DONT BOTHER, just get aerofly fs or extreme soaring is you want something to do with gliding, if you just want a fun app don't go near it, in fact don't go near it anyway because IT DOSNT WORK!

1) NEEDS an actual selection of gliders
2) Needs yaw string
3) Needs audible tones to assist glide
Camera controls are sluggish, cockpits could use work.
Scenery looks great though.
I'd recommend Xtreme Soaring by Phanotives if you want something with a range of options, although the scenery isn't as nice as this.

I tend to buy every flight simulator. This is a relatively simple game but it offers some amazing visuals and scenery. The plane seems to be well modeled and behaves realistically. If you’re a fan of flight simulation or gliders get it

The graphics are incredible, in line with the other games I've downloaded from this developer. The glider is easy to fly. All in all, I found this to be a pretty solid flight simulator glider game.
