Not What You Think It Is
If you're looking for Global News, as in the news and current affairs division of the Canadian Global TV Network, this is not that app. If it was, it would say "Corus Entertainment" on the description page of the app under the name, as they are the parent company of Global. This is some other garbage app that is horribly put together. Don't waste your time.

The news is… this app is a big fail!
Global news needs to redo this app from scratch. Too frustrating to try to use, bug ridden, obviously wasn’t tested before releasing. I like Global News on TV, but this app appears that it was “developed “ by a third party who obviously should be fired. It harms the Global brand, would be better if the app was removed from the App Store since it’s an embarrassment. Obviously Global doesn’t care because look at other reviews from 2 years ago… nothing fixed. Fisher Price could do better.

Useless
Global news should be ashamed tp have their name associated with this useless app. View locks in only one direction with the lightning port down. Changing search had no affect on the items presented. Did not give a major news headlines only local items.
Sad, pathetic
The location finder part of the app is a waste of time. I live in Victoria, BC, Canada and the app locked onto the state of Victoria Australia. I have tried resetting it more times than I can count. I deleted the app and reloaded several times hoping for some improvements, not! If there were 1/2 and 1/4 stars I’d I go for the lowest one!

Worst App I’ve ever seen
I’ve tried for months to watch the news on this app but plays for a minute or two, usually a commercial then the spinning wheel comes up and no picture. I have a good internet connection and have no problem with other news apps or watching it on YouTube. Terrible!

I don’t se why Global even has this app available. Nothing but old irrelevant Kardashian stories and no weather or traffic. Definitely a black mark on the Global brand. Come back when you have a competitive app but delete this one until then.
IPad Sideways?
Why would anyone want to read their news on its side rather than upright? Useless without landscape mode. Less than useless.

Wow Global, really? no search function to find the articles I’m looking for by title. It also keeps forcing up the screen for notifications and using my location (which I don’t want to use) until is makes itself crash!

Still a lousy app
Still won’t run properly, shows limited news, then when you do find a story you want to read an ad pops up and blocks it. Terrible app
Worst news app ever
I can’t believe they let this out of the door. Don’t waste your time on this one. Two years on and it still does not work. Global is wasting their money with this developer.
1 Minute and Deleted
We watch Global News for B.C. almost exclusively. I like prefer to read the news, so decided to find the app. What a joke! Very poor format to find Canada or BC, or Western Provinces news. Too many commercial traps, and invitations to purchase other crappy apps. Worst ever!

Crap app
Even though I've got the latest iOS version this application is on acceptable for use. While in settings it requires you to enter your address and location something I didn't want to give. When trying to enter that you would always come back with Ron for mad even though the entry was exactly as the example. It defaults to a portrait format where I want landscape which is another nonstarter. You're better off just going to global news on the web and that works fine. I might give it another look in the future but for the moment I've deleted it. They should take a look at their competitors, CBC for example, to see how it should be done. I'll only give them one star just because they took the time to make an attempt but they've done a poor job of it.

Garbage
It keeps wanting me to enter my address and postal code - I can not get out of setting. Waste of time, it's deleted. Wish there was a zero star setting.
