Used to better
Used to love this game, great graphics, gameplay, sound and humor in a wonderful unified self contained package. Then they added game club ads and now the game just makes me sad when I open it. Sure somebody is always going to try and capitalize off anything of quality by shilling junk at you; but this game was beautiful, and the ads feel like billboards slapped up in a national park.

Flashback ramped up!
This really takes me back to my Atari childhood playing Space Invaders, etc. I found out about this game by accident when looking for more James Kochalka graphic novels for the kids in my school library.
Glorkian Warrior
A brilliant game - seems so simple, but there’s enough variety in the behaviour of the various alien invaders, power-ups, and attack patterns that honestly no two games are ever the same. And there’s also the lovely James Kochalka look to the whole thing. It’s just the best. Seriously addictive and great fun.

Fun game! Yea 64 Bit!!!
No IAP! No energy! The game has different control schemes and I've had no lag or crashes. Just a really fun game with lots of humor ! Definitely recommend! Thank you devs for updating the game to 64 bit!!!! This has always been one of my favorite IOS games!!!
Buggy -- Not Fair!
Guys, there's some serious controller issues with this game!
No matter which control option I select, there inevitably seems to be a moment when the game goes haywire, sending Glork running or jumping of his own accord, ignoring my futile screen taps while he throws himself into alien fire. At first I thought it might be a hardware problem. But I've upgraded my phone a couple of times by now and the problems have persisted.
This is not fair!
Now look, I'm interested in my high score, here. Like the arcade classics this game evokes, pride is on the line. Currently, I'm ranked #64 on the Ace Leaderboard. I always play Ace, the most difficult setting. I believe in a hearty challenge, hard-won victories and fair play.
These control bugs must be fixed or else the game's fairness and credibility will be in question.
This (or any) game's only true asset, integrity, is on the line, too. Why, I was at Comic-Con only a year or two ago when I heard rumors that hackers had some how gamed Glork and set themselves atop the leaderboards with absurd high scores. If true, I've thus far chosen to believe that these issues have by now been long rectified. However, Glork's spazzing out and sabotaging my play almost every single session betrays at least some weakness in the design of its current iteration. Now I'm not sure I know what to believe.
Glork is a great game. Please fix it. Fix it fast and fix it well. Fix it. Please.

Kochalka quality
Big fan of both James Kochalka and PixelJam. This hand drawn pew-pew is a delight. Challenging, but absorbing, and packed with juicy unlocks. Play it!

The game is a spectacular play, when it's playable.
I recommend playing it on a pc rather than the app. The app continues to freeze and not save my progress which is found frustrating and dampening the enjoyment of the game.

Great Design. Morbid Gameplay
The characters, sounds and music are awesome. However, this game will subject you to an astonishing number of inescapable cheap shot deaths. If you like to be supremely frustrated, you'll like this game.

I've been playing this game for a long time. I'll never delete it. It's nostalgic. It's witty. It's unbeatable! I have neglected many, many hours or work with beautiful ease. I never leave reviews, and I almost never keep anything I download for longer than I have kept The Trials of Glork... Or whatever this is called.

This is a great Space Invaders/Galaxian game! The variety of weapons and enemies keeps the game fresh. The humor is wonderful. The cartoony graphics go good with the humor. The controls are tight (much appreciated on a game like this). Good "arcade days" game. Thanks for the memories.
