Using Glosbe as a Kurd
Thank you for creating such a good dictionary. I have used this dictionary to learn English words via my Kurdish and that was awesome. I could find many English words meaning in Kurdish and even vice versa thanks to polish people that have created this app.
Good For Language Learning
As someone who learns multiple languages, this app, especially the dictionary, contains a lot of examples. It also contains real equivalent in my native language, good examples of conjugations and an amazing traduction.
I do recommend this app.
The only pet peeve about this app is that the examples aren’t always correct, because everyone can add examples, and not everyone knows how it seems like. In résumé, it’s like an “open” dictionary… It doesn’t seem like these examples are verified…
Because of that, I give it a 4/5.

Bug with login function
It’s almost year having this bug - can’t use app.
It is not possible to login to the app if the user used web version on the same device - I had to logout and login several times. Also there is no Favourite option in the app, I couldn’t see the list of words that was created on web site

Custom word lists
Very good dictionary. Still It would be nice to have some lists of already translated words. It looks like that in next version it should appear a possibility to add already translated words to a list. And what about lists or tags to group words from different languages or group words in any arbitrary way?

Il manque les boutons pour revenir à la page précédente.
Il y a des traductions vraiment fantaisistes.
Est-ce qu’il y aurait un moyen de savoir quelle est la langue de la phrase d’origine.
Ce matin j’ai lu une phrase en grec dans laquelle il n’est pas question de chanson alors que toutes les traductions mentionnent une chanson.
Sinon, les résultats sont le plus souvent très bons.

Very good and capable
I really like this app and use it a lot for translating words and phrases from Czech books I don’t understand it has got a big database of words and even if it doesn’t have a specific word it gives you a translation from google translate. It gives you synonyms and examples of use in context. I can recommend it.

Unusable after update
A lot of "connection problem" after the last update. Very unstable.

This product has served as a critical translation tool in my line of work for years. It aides translation efforts as successfully as few other tools do. It references human-translated text and includes its context. This allows the user to leverage a real-world context-aware translation. This approach is particularly useful for translating words and phrases that don’t have a close equivalent in the destination language and may call for reframing the entire sentence. While such reworking may lead to a translation that is not literally close to the original, it is one that’s effectively equivalent or near-equivalent in meaning to the original, which is far more important from a translator’s point of view. While not the only product available in it’s category, Glosbe is superior to its competitors thanks to its effective design, execution, and a wide range of diverse translation sources. Zeugen Jehovas haben die App kaputtgemacht!
Vor ein paar Jahren konnte ich noch 5 Sterne geben, da die Idee dahinter wunderbar ist: Grammatik (immerhin die können die Zeugen Jehovas nicht für sich vereinnahmen), exotische Sprachen und dazu viele Textbeispiele.
Tja, mittlerweile sind die Textbeispiele durch die Zeugen Jehovas verseucht und unbrauchbar geworden.
Ich suche in einer Sprache nach Beispielsätzen, um den Zusammenhang / Kontext des Wortes zu erfahren, in dem es vorzugsweise gebraucht wird. Beispiel Präsentation, Schulung, Vortrag:
ausschließlich (!) Sätze von Zeugen Jehovas: Erkennbar an dem Wörtern Jehova, Königreichssaal und unendlich viele Bibelpassagen.
Das ist nicht nur nervig, sondern dadurch finde ich auch den von mir gesuchten Kontext (hier: Technischer Vortrag, Online-Schulung, Präsentationen auf Arbeit oder in der Uni) nicht mehr vor lauter Jehova!
