Very good !!!

Exactly what I was looking for. I’ll be using this every morning as an alternative to the more expensive physical wake up lights. Thanks for making this!

Don’t know how I lived without it!

I’m so glad I found this. Use it every day and love the recent updates! Thank you to developer

Should not have been released

I am surprised that Apple would even allow this app to be released. Being a senior app developer, this app is a great example of a poorly made app and a waste of space on my device.

Response from developer

If there is anything specific you’d like to feedback on, please email us on support@glowalarm.app As with any app, there may be the odd bug that may have impacted your experience. We take reliability concerns seriously, especially for an alarm app. As you will know, specific user feedback is genuinely appreciated in such cases. We rapidly address such feedback where there is a material bug (or simply feature requests). We would be glad to hear from you. I would highlight that we and many users use Glow Alarm on a daily basis; it generally does what it says on the tin in terms of turning your iPhone into a wake up light. We are regularly releasing new features such as sleep sounds and overnight sleep recording and will continue to strive to improve the user experience and feature set.

Great for waking up early mornings

Worked just fine but does contribute to screen time which I’m also trying to reduce and track to improve sleep

Good concept, needs work

Downloaded this as an alternative to buying a new sunrise alarm clock. This is good BUT it has to be the ONLY app open in order to work. I tried using this alongside a sleep tracking app and the alarm didn’t work with the sleep tracking app also running. I can either run TWO devices or forego this or the sleep tracker. Either option is annoying. The built in alarm sounds are nostalgic but not loud enough (I sleep a bit heavy) and I can’t use a ringtone instead, only a full song.

Response from developer

Hi, thanks for your feedback. A new update (2.0) has been released which addresses some of this. The alarm will now act more like a native iOS alarm. This means that, if you accidentally leave Glow Alarm or the phone locks overnight, the alarm will still sound. It also guarantees bypassing through do not disturb or any other focus mode (just like a normal iOS Clock alarm will). For alarm sounds, more will be added soon, but in the meantime there is a new option to use the default iOS alarm ringtone. There is also functionality to upload any mp3 of your choice. Note however, that if you want the sunrise light features, the app will need to be left open overnight. Try enabling the ‘sleep screen blackout’ feature; this will black out the screen, meaning battery usage is minimal and the screen appears black until wake time.
