Incredible Attention to the Community
This app goes above and beyond to investigate restaurants thereby providing a real service to the gluten free community. There are very few people these days helping to keep us as safe as possible, like the amazing people behind this app.

We finally got to use the app and it was life changing. Since the diagnosis, eating out has been a challenge, never mind eating out away from home territory. This app is a critical part of my dining out experience. Thank you for keeping it up to date and it shows you care. I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2011. Eating out has definitely been a struggle but since you launched your app it’s definitely easier.
Love the app, but would love a “My Contributions” section!
I love Gluten Dude, especially when traveling. Having information geared toward people with Celiac Disease rather than just a generic “gluten-free” label makes finding somewhere to eat so much easier and less stressful.
One feature I would really love is the ability to see the reviews and restaurant suggestions I’ve submitted. I’ve visited several smaller towns where the app shows few or no GF options, found restaurants that handled gluten-free dining well, and submitted them to Gluten Dude. Once I submit them, though, I have no way to know if they’re pending, approved, or eventually added.
You can get notifications when a new restaurant is added near your home ZIP code, which is great, but that doesn’t help when you’ve suggested restaurants while traveling in other states.
A “My Contributions” section showing my reviews and suggested restaurants, along with their status, would be fantastic. It would also make me much more likely to continue submitting places I find while traveling.
I’d also love to see the database continue growing in smaller towns and less-populated areas. Overall, this is a fantastic resource and one I’m very glad to have!

Travelling locally (Australia) & overseas this app has been invaluable! To confidently know that an eating establishment is 100% GF is an absolute game changer! Wouldn’t be without it now! 👏

I have tried other apps for gluten free food before and never found them very helpful. This one is AMAZING!!! My daughter has had celiac for over 10 years. Unfortunately, over the past two years it has gotten so much worse. I always feel terrible that she can’t eat out and terrified of her getting a reaction because it messes up her body for over a week. I am happy to say I happened upon this app while on vacation, desperate to find somewhere safe to eat. This is a game changer for celiacs!!!! Thanks for making this app!!!

GF for 26 yrs -Worth every dollar
This app provides great vetting, gf eats that we can enjoy. Sometimes we stick to certain places & this app makes finding safe spots for me, a lifelong celiac, a needed support planner. Glad you continue keeping on top of places with user feedback! Thanks Gluten Dude!

I can’t recommend this app enough! My husband and I travel a lot for his job. This app has saved me the guess work more times than I can count when out of state. Thank you Scott for the amazing hard work you pour into this app. It has been such a blessing!

Love this app!
The latest massive update has been great! Keep it up! I travel a lot in the US and appreciate it, even if it only lists 1 or 2 vetted options sometimes. It’s more knowledge than i had before and i appreciate the effort. I can always call ahead and see if the restaurants are still open, and report in if they aren’t, or if i find another place that isn’t listed i can report it. Love the fact that i can interact through Facebook so he can keep the app updated as much as possible. Love that many sites have been vetted to ask about protocols, which makes one feel better about eating out. This developer has full celiac and understands the fear of eating out. Great app! Loved the lifetime subscription as i get all the updates included. I do feel as if im getting my moneys worth. Thanks!

Useful and Trustworthy
This is one of the very few apps I pay for and it is worth it! For someone, like me, who has to have no gluten including potential cross contamination, being able to find safe places to eat while on the road or at the airport is the difference between going out eat or going to the grocery store and “dining” on sandwich meat and rice crackers. Gluten Dude is the Best!
I depend on Gluten Dude for my local eats and especially for travel. You can’t beat this app for travel. I just returned from Europe and Scandinavia and used GD for most meals. And, very successfully too! Thank you, Scott!
Great app and worth the cost
Free apps don’t verify restaurant protocol or what they offer. If you want a free app that only goes by reviews of a restaurant given by someone who’s avoiding gluten you won’t get that someone with celiac depends on you may just be getting reviewed because a restaurant offers gluten friendly listings on a menu. Celiacs depend on someone vetting a restaurant and how their staff is trained to avoid cross-contamination This app does that goes beyond to make sure that staff are trained to avoid cross-contamination otherwise it’s not celiac safe I depend on this when I’m traveling and it’s never let me down Thanks Gluten Dude for never selling out or taking the easy way out Lori aka The Twisted Celiac.

I had some issues, but it got fixed
Update: I was finally able to get some help through social media to contact the app maker directly, it took several attempts before the issue was fixed, they had to completely delete my account and then I had to act like I was signing up all over again (but didn’t have to pay this time) and it did fix the issue. I will say, as far as accuracy, this is BY FAR the best gluten free app and I’m very happy that the issues were fixed.
I paid $40 for a LIFETIME subscription and I haven’t even had this app for 90 days and it’s saying my “free trial” has ended, EXCUSE MEEEEEE?! It was NEVER FREE!!!!! So you’re telling me that I paid $40 for LESS THAN FOUR MONTHS of access??????

The GOAT
This is my number one go to app when I’m trying to figure out where I can eat, especially while traveling. I’m so thankful for Scott and his mission to make dining out safe for Celiacs. I’m excited for when there is a more robust selection of restaurants, but I’m also extremely grateful that he’s taking his time to vet each establishment. I also try to contribute to the selection when I find an exceptional restaurant.

My go to App to find Celiac Safe Food
This app is my favorite. The vetting is thorough and the functionality is great. The owner is a passionate advocate for people living with celiac disease. It’s helped me find so many great options when I’m traveling. There are so many affordable options to use the app. Try it out.
